They are really annoying. Sure the crash cam adds like a detail but I don't want to spend 5 or 10 seconds watching my car tumble down the hill while others get ahead. Although crash cams are a reason for ppl to git gud in a way.
@@GoofballGaming27 Realistically, yes you are supposed to get meme'd if you hit a bump at high speeds. But this is NFS, it is supposed to be a slightly arcade street racing experience.
Welp, that's why Criterion recoded the engine for NFS Unbound, Happens to me sometimes in NFS 2015, I go to full Speed on my Corvette, I hit the wall and I crash 😐
Slow doesn't mean it's bad. Anyway, I mostly stick to Single Player because EA servers are crappy, like I get disconnected after being online for 10 minutes or so.
I think those happened for few reasons: 1. In Heat, the custom body kit also included with hit detection against the world surface, unlike older NFS where the custom bodykit just clipping off, therefore no differences between stock and custom body kit while driving off road. I was only playing Heat on my friend's PC for few hours but I had tens of hours playing Rivals which powered by same engine. 2. Because Frostbite on the core was designed for shooter games, the surface hit detection is much more detailed and therefore have roughter surface than NFS powered by EAGL (The NFS engine from first title before Shift). I have playing a game named Midtown Madness and in that game, ground clearance is much more important than any older NFS. For example, a low slung GT1 race car can't climb the pedestrian curb and prone to be damaged during past the rough road surface at high speed while normal cars don't suffer with those effects.
Yeah. And if your a muscle car, again, rolling over won’t do anything to you, but bumping slightly into a tiny ass car or a small cop car with your dodge challenger will do damage to you.
There was this one time when I fell into water while getting chased and the black screen took long enough for me to get busted. But it's a good car nevertheless, smoked a lot of players with it.
@thegr8ssk152 did you have less then half of health?cause if so then you die, when in a chase if you fall in the water it takes half of health, the cops don't bust you when you have to reset
@@nicolae-alexandruluca7853Nah, I was at maybe 85 or 80% HP. Fell into the water by mistake and the black screen took like a solid 30 seconds or something. Even tho the screen was black, I could hear what was happening, and heard the "Busting" SFX and when the screen came to, they handcuffed me. My guess is because it was Multiplayer or something.
i just want to point out that going 200 mph and hitting a bump/solid object will have a similar effect in real life. although generally you have to hit something for that to happens so i digress
Yeah someone said. It does look accurate for a crash while doing over 200, but in real life the car would just disintegrate to thousands of pieces instead of cart wheeling
@@thegr8ssk152 agreed. My favourite is Carbon, but after a while it just gets boring. Blackbox era nfs is super repetitive even though they're legendary games.
@@thegr8ssk152 that's the thing, driving 200+ mph smash into anything in real life basically road to heaven or hell in the game only cost 2-3% health, smash into cars in 50mph cost 10-15% and 20-30% when a get smash by a police vehicle
@@blahblahblah7563 Cops are really scary in Heat. But most of the times they are dumb. I feel like the Damage Reduction perk is barely helping since one good shunt from a Charger or a Corvette can eat up a good amount of your HP.
@@thegr8ssk152 i was even surprised, because i thought this game would have a lot of bugs , but i haven't encountered one. Also grip handling was pretty good (especially on lotus)
@@Victor-rq4gx I agree. Unbound physics is terrible. In heat you can easily control your car , like in old games. But in Unbound, thanks to the wobbly physics... gl avoiding traffic. :)
@@Psychomantis30 if you compare more closesly its not, only thing that could be better in 2016 (2015) is music, but that is just taste. 2016 Just have filter and more urban areas that ppl sometimes prefer.
