Who am I?
"ThisMichaelBrown and The Green Cave" are based in Mandeville, LA. Both a recording studio and a video production cave, the last few years have seen over 100 green screen creations from this song writer / producer / engineer / multi-instrumentalist, and videographer who sometimes writes about himself glowingly in the third person ;) Videos include tributes to favorite bands, original music releases (14 or so albums!), and band /event promos.

Hello, excellent interpretation dear friend... I wanted to ask you, I have a question: are you the drummer? He looks like a different person, he's a little fatter... the same is my admiration for you brother... what a nice memory and an honor for John Lennon
Thanks CMJ, most kind....Rush has brought me endless joy and light. The penguins are courtesy of this site...a SUPER talented Australian-based animator and profoundly nice fellow to boot....check out his creations here: ru-vid.com/show-UCJxBvAD1_KpQfiBDQLncrTQvideos
Thanks Mike for the video and promotion! . Reflecting on the philosophy of Albert Camus. Here are the lyrics for reference: All my life I've studied every sage I've read them all, examined every page I see the world around me, spinning out of control People chasing after dreams that they can't even hold We're all just actors on this chaotic stage Playing our parts, pretending like it's all the rage But in the end, what does it all mean? Life's a paradox, a twisted routine Dancing in the shadows of uncertainty Embracing the absurdity, that's where I wanna be I've grown tired of chasing dreams that aren't mine Caught in the rat race, running out of time I want to trade the hustle and the city lights For a simpler life, under starry nights I am leaving it all behind, no more stress, no more strife Gonna find my peace, gonna live my life In the embrace of nature, where my soul can thrive All my life, all my life
Mike, thanks for putting the video together for this tune. I wrote this song as an old school 70's funk tribute to Funkadelic/Parliament, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Prince. I hope I did them justice. Thanks! Here are the lyrics: I wake up in the morning, feeling oh so tired Put on my suit and tie, keep that corporate facade But deep down, I'm feeling like I'm stuck in a rut Gotta break free, baby, shake off this office smut I got the 9 to 5 blues, baby, it's a fact Working for the man, ain't no going back But I'll bust outta here, just watch me rise Gonna groove to my own beat, feel the funk in my life From nine in the morning 'til five in the eve It's the same old grind, making me wanna leave But I've dreams to chase, gotta find my own groove Break these chains and let my soul move (oh yeah) [Guitar Lead] I've been walking down this road for way too long Lost in monotonous motions, singing the same old song But then one day, I stumbled up on a hidden place A spark of discovery, a smile on my face (I got the 9 to 5 blues, baby, it's a fact) Working for the man, ain't no going back But I'll bust outta here, just watch me rise Gonna groove to my own beat, feel the funk in my life Ain't no going back But I'll bust outta here, just watch me rise Gonna groove to my own beat, feel the funk in my life I've been walking down this road for way too long Lost in monotonous motions, singing the same old song But then one day, I stumbled upon a hidden place A spark of discovery, a smile on my face I got the 9 to 5 blues, baby Ain't no going back But I'll bust outta here, just watch me rise Gonna groove to my own beat, feel the funk in my life Ain't no more going back But I'll bust outta here, just watch me rise Gonna groove to my own beat, feel the funk in my life

@@frankburton670 The original version is so good and is part of many of our childhood psyches....ie we mainly heard on the radio way back then....so it stands sort of edged in conscious stone....great tune...zaps me back!
I hear ya. I enjoy the original myself. I have to admit when I first heard it, I thought it was a chick singing it lol. But I enjoy the tune. @@ThisMichaelBrown
