if you take care of your body and putting in high enough mileage so that you can do a 17-18 mile long run then this is a great workout for people. It’s only dangerous is someone did the workout and they were putting in like 10 mile weeks.
@@alexround2043 18 miles at marathon effort is virtually the race. Unless you are an elite athlete that workout is way to intense but each to their own.
@@hardipchima7828 there’s still 8 miles left of the race on race day and if you do this workout 5 weeks out from race day and get an injury, my point is what did you think would happen on race day? The most difficult and damaging part of the marathon is the last 12km so an 18 mile long run at goal pace shouldn’t take an enormous toll on the body of a person hoping to do the same for 26 miles
Congrats on the pb! running watch question if you don’t mind as see you wear a Coros. Currently have a garmin forerunner 265 and noticing some of the metrics (hr, sleep, hrv) are way off, considering buying a Coros pace 3 instead, does anyone have any advice on it?
Thanks mate! I personally never use the HRV / heart rate metrics on my Coros - I track sleep with the Whoop & if I ever want to see my Heart rate I’d use an external monitor. Very common for the wristwatch readings to be off! Hope that helps 👍🏻
Love your content keeps me goin as a runner myself I recently turned 13 and got a 5k pb of 18:27 and if it weren’t for you and many other content creators I don’t think I’d make it past 4k 😅
Legend! Showing the realistic side of being an athlete with a full time job. This is realistic and just shows that you are fully committed to running as well as living like a normal person in the UK. Keep on going!
Nah mate The reason yours look "boring" is cause yours are actually real Most of these "day in the life" idiots just save up money and are actually on vacation not normal at home stuffs They want everyone to think they have such cool lives etc etc but in reality its all fake Keep up the amazing stuff bro and have an amazing month ❤
That 45 sec gap between my 1k time and his is 100% cause that adidas supernova (i'm runnin in the pegasus 41's, and honestly idc how much better the 42's are they look damn ugly so i'm waitin for the 44's maybe they'll have a different design.))
I am training to do 5k and what do you suggest: My gym has this amazing brand new Life Fitness treadmills. I really glide when I run there but... the moment I hit the hard ground in a park... omg, it really slows me down. What do you suggest? Keep training on a treadmill or better outside?
Man, your legs are long! One step of yours are 3 steps of mine. Just started to run now with couch to 5 and i am on week 5, day 2. Today participated on JP Morgan Corporate Challenge and looking forward for my next one!
