Fantastic help/ I have had Plex with lifetime pass for 6 years and it's only lately that I've had issues where I couldn't see my local libraries. All fixed now thanks to Barmine Tech :)
Here's my issue: If I rip a DVD or BluRay, will that damage the physical disc at all? Because, I don't want to put the disc in after I ripped it to no longer work on my disc player.
i’m am not aware of this causing any damage to the disk. this is a orettt standard method of just copying the files off the disk to a digital storage on the computer
Hey thanks for the video! Question: For my homelab, I could run proxmox off this and also run plex on this. Then use this transcoding and store everything on a nas?
Thanks so much for the review/overview of this NAS! I'm about to purchase the 4-bay version with a couple of WD Red 14TB drives. Prolly overkill for my first NAS but I want something powerful! Thanks again!
Hello, I have old laptop there is not ethernet port and dont have any ethernet to usb cable only have wifi on laptop to how to use proxmox in this laptop and use with my router, my router ip range is 192.168.20.xx but when i install proxmox on my laptop then show 192.168.100.1 so how to edit it or run with my routerr. Please can you help me. There is no way to connect network with my laptop using wire.
Do you have a video showing how to set this up? I tried using T-Mobile 5G home internet but could not port forward so my Plex server was not reachable outside my home. If this can solve this, I might give them another try. Would be way cheaper than my current internet.
already follow your tutorial, done port forwarding too but connection refuse. i can connect the vpn in LAN but not when i try to connect it from the outside. pardon me
@@JuanJax funny thing is i can port forward the wgdashboard port with no issue, i even success remote my wgdashboard from wan network.. but this shitty wg port wont even show up even when i already port forward it.. fml waste like whole day trying to make it work. now i end up with netbird
The only VPN that I use/deploy is HTTPS/SSL. That way I never have to ask to open ports or do anything special at all (and multiple VPNs work over the same incoming port!).
Good video, very helpful. Only issue is @11:56 "opening the external port for wireguard" is not accurate. In order to access the server from outside, need to specify either DDNS or Public IP address, instead of a private IP and port (in the Peer Remote Endpoint field). The port forwarding needs to be done at the router. But this is the configuration for the clients/peers on how to get back home. So it needs a valid public IP or Dynamic DNS.
Excellent tutorial! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be moving over to Proxmox soon and have been wondering how I'm going to change over all of my client config files from my current wg-easy setup. A number of clients are Firesticks at remote locations, so not the simplest to get a new config file on them. I'm thinking I should be able to copy the public key from my current configs to a new tunnel on this new wireguard dashboard, and basically clone the parameters on this new setup, so that the existing clients don't lose access? Great videos. Keep doing what you're doing. Love the focus on tteck's scripts. Looking forward to getting started with Proxmox soon.
Hello, I am trying to install proxmox onto my spare computer and whenever I go through the installation, it does not show my target hard drive that I would want to use. After going through the BIOS, i can confirm that the SATA drive is being registered, but it is not found in proxmox. Would appreciate any help!
Why would you ever under any circumstance select and ISP that doesn't allow you to open ports? People should not tolerate that at all. The internet is two-way, not one-way like radio and television was. You need to start drawing the line dude. I am sick of ebegging youtubers and their compromises. You don't COMPROMISE on things like this. It's not an internet service provider if it's one-way internet. Oh boy this tightens my jaws dude.
hi i find your tutorial really good and easy to follow iam new in homeserver with proxmox and i was wondering if you knew of games on whales/wolf and if you could do a tutorial on how to install it.
I've noticed that you put in a Seagate Hard Drive, was that one of the hard drives listed in their compatibility list or can you just put in any drive?
It looks like the tteck helper script has changed as none of this worked for me today and the config command shown in the screencaps doesn't exist. It seems to now have WGDashboard installed.
would it be possible to just stream the video output to a localhost port and have a electron application that checks for ports on localhost and displays that?
BETWEEN MAKEMKV & HANDBRAKE, I CAN NEVER BURN THE ORIGINAL PHYSICAL DVD MENU. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO BURN THE DVD MENUS? I LOVE SEEING THE DVD MENUS LOAD UP. THANKS FOR THIS TUTORIAL. SUPER HELPFUL!
The Cloudflare DDNS Docker is no longer there as far as I can tell. I tried installing Portainer like your other video describes but the script fails. So I am stuck installing Portainer myself. After I do all that I can try to add an application template, but when searching I can not find The Cloudflare DDNs updater.
just checked and it still is in the pi self hosted template. make sure your using novaspirits pi self hosted template. as for the commands not working im unsure why thats happening
@@BarmineTech I am using AMP for my game server managment, it uses Docker and I think it was the program that installed it. I installed Portainer, it works, but I just can't install the Novaspirits pi self hosted template with the supplied script... and I just realized my failure. I haven't gone on to the settings and pasted in the app template... Im so Very sorry. My mind has been mush since moving recently. Thank you for your help!!
I would love to see a video on how to backup Proxmox VE itself not just containers. Containers are easy to backup lol.. Seriously I spent so much time learning how to give containers access to network drives and all that but no way to back that all up 😂 very annoying!!!
i haven’t found a solid way to do that yet. i see that the proxmox helper scripts have a way to do it but haven’t tested it yet so maybe that’ll be the next project
If you use a docker image inside a Proxmox VM you are going through 2 layers of virtualization, its not ideal. You can deploy the Crafty container directly in Proxmox skipping the linux VM entirely.
good points. i feel when i first looked into installing on linux it either wasn’t available or to complex so this is why i did it this way i dont recall. however i will remake this video installing it without docker or other virtualizers so thats for pointing this out
Proxmox, does not boot when inserting a new GPU for me, hard to follow the steps if i can't boot into proxmox. (Proxmox works for me if i remove the GPU though)
