No they are not. There are many friends of mine living in Brisbane. They are totally fine. No racism ( less) . what they have understand is if someone behaves as a fool. Then he or she will be ignored. They may see him or her as a one who came from a low family background. So if you behave very good in a foreign country there will be very less people who are about to ignore you.
