I had Steven Johnston syndrome when I was 16. My whole body was covered in a rash. I spent 8 weeks in hospital. My organs were shutting down. Fortunately a doctor realised it was tegratol a drug for epilepsy that was causing it. Fortunately I survived but I still suffer with my eyes and ingrowing eye lashes and vision. Fortunately I was able to have my 2 beautiful children. But I'm 58 now and still have stomach issues and lungs. I seriously hope that anyone gets these symptoms check it out immediately. Xxx

Akira, you are not the only one out there. I was born in 1955 at 24 weeks - I was 1 lb, 9 oz. Retinopathy of Prematurity was then called RLF (retrolental fibroplasia). Fortunately, several weeks before I was born, the correct ratio of oxygen to air was discovered. The opthalmologist who attended me was up on his recent medical journals, and so I did not get pure oxygen in my incubator! Anyway, it saved my eyesight. I've had three detached retinas since then (two in the left eye, and one in the right). Oh, the disparity between my eyes makes me monocular. My brain simply can't align the disparate views, so "shuts off" one eye - usually the right. Have about 5 degrees of peripheral vision. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know that you can live a full and highly enjoyable life, even if you can't drive, fly a plane, or hit a fastball!
I lost some vision in my rt. eye due to long Covid. I still have fatigue, shortness of breath upon exertion, dizziness and nausea, but the vision impairment is most concerning.
