The R8 is truly in its own class. And the 9,3x62 a very potent caliber. Though I am not a fan of the Norma Vulkan bullet. Personally, I would choose modern lead free bullet like RWS Evo Green or Barnes TTSX. I also used the 250 gr Nosler Accubond with great success. Or the classic 285 gr Lapua Mega.
Try to get into the habit of taking it off safe prior to a shot else you'll forget to do that when the moment comes on a live animal. Muscle memory will be key. Also try to get into the habit of decocking and making safe after each pass.
