The point to note is that the raw sewage is still being sent into the sea as of 2016 and finds its way back to the swimming area in the Nerja/Maro region when the wind and current change. There are days when the sea is clear and clean looking. When I filmed the 'turd catcher' there was a brown scum clearly visible and the swimmer was unaware.
