Nice video...... I knew about the border sensitivity on the Pujols cards years ago . I bought his Topps Traded & Topps Chrome Teaded both in PSA 10's about 10 years ago........
Nice grade bumps! I love how you always trust your experienced eye and aren’t afraid to crack and roll the dice again 🙌 They are always so damn tough on those 1989 style score Kelce’s 😬
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 thanks! I agree, those Kelce are tough to grade. Trying to find the clean ones is a fun challenge. Thanks for the support!
I had it posted for quite awhile with the audience set to private so only I could see it. When I realized it and was messing around with it is probably when you saw it pop up. But I just deleted it and reposted it!
Congrats! You always make great investments…love the player selections. I hope you rack in da money after that insane Ohtani game 🔥 Thanks for the content! LV
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 what a performance he had. The Ohtani inventory got wiped out on eBay after that game. His sales volume the past 24 hrs is insane. I appreciate you watching!
@@jbkilluh I’ve heard some call it that. I like sep-ee-ah haha. I’m sure that’s not correct. I’ve never even heard it used outside of cards, I’m assuming it’s a color.
@@jbkilluh good to know. I just read up on the definition and all that. I’ve been saying it wrong for 10+ years, trying to break that will be a challenge. Appreciate the info!
@@macstener5295 the funny thing is that it seems to be the baseball card folks that pronounce it like that. It was so weird to hear it when I first started collecting. I always wonder who started that and passed it along throughout the hobby for years lol
@@jbkilluh haha I think back to 2011 Topps chrome Chris sale and freddie freeman rookies as my earliest memories of that refractor. The Topps chrome football sets from around that same time as well. I’ve Most definitely been calling it Sep-ia since then. But I never heard it pronounced correctly until very recently with all the RU-vid videos going around. I thought it was just newer people in the hobby pronouncing it wrong. That being said, there must be a very big chunk of the hobby pronouncing it wrong.
@@jonknop9704 I’m not to sure how to answer that. Very broad question that would come with a very broad answer. Respectfully, there’s just so many cards and different expectations and goals. As far as the act of examining them, that is what it is. But determining what goes, there’s a massive range of stuff going on there. For you and everyone else too I’m sure.
Yup correct. Hockey cards are one of the few card licenses Fanatics doesn't have. UD has the full licensing. Fanatics is just making jerseys for NHL teams is probably what you saw.
@@bkruger3277 awesome! I must have misunderstood. That’s great to hear though. I can’t imagine licensed hockey cards being produced by anyone other than upper deck.
Loved the order especially seeing the old gold label cards considering they aren't made anymore. You ever try grading any pristine baseball from the last few years?
@@Rebel_Scum1 I think I’ve only graded one Gunner Henderson that was uncirculated and didn’t do well on it. I’ve graded some old mauer and Pujols. As well as some 2000s football. But haven’t ventured much in to ultra modern pristine.
@@timelessproductions23 I’ve always collected Adrian Peterson rookies. So it was way too easy to start collecting Thomas as well since I can pair them together in all the sets! They have a lot of great rookie cards.
@@timelessproductions23 absolutely! AP, Calvin, Thomas, Lynch and Willis are the 5 I’ve been focusing on. Revis is a good one too. Fun class to collect.
@@timelessproductions23 hopefully Rodgers stays healthy and has a good year! Some good talent in Hall and Wilson. You’d think they can put together a good season
If you have the emails from psa stating they are paying out then make them pay. Just have to get in touch with a supervisor and they will take care of it.
Love the reveals Mac. Good to see you stick to your guns on what you believe the pre grade to be. It usually ends up in your favor. Too bad it takes PSA 2-3 times to get it right 😊
Nice Gem rate! Few things: 1) Why am I just finding out that David Ortiz was David Arias? I feel so dumb for not knowing this. 2) I hear on the tough grade/low margin prizms. Like this is what we go nuts over come Prizm time? And so unforgiving with centering on these! 3) love the Kelce’s I need a Kelce RC. 4) For ultra modern, isn’t a 9 such a guy punch?? That’s how I feel. Awesome vid!
Appreciate it! The ultra modern Prizm is definitely rough. Just not much enjoyment in it anymore for me personally and the financial aspect of it keeps getting worse. I’ve been on a Kelce kick lately! Been buying tons of colored score rookies and autos and a bunch of other cool stuff. He has some great rookies out there!
Quite a few years ago, during football season, i walked into a local sports card shop in Jacksonville, Florida and went through their $1-5 box of basketball cards. I learned decades ago that you get the best value and/or deals when you buy cards during the off season, similar to buying Summer clothes in the Winter and vice versa! So, when I was looking through their $1-$5 basketball boxes, i came across this young, up and coming player, who had NOT yet became a star and that player's name was Stephen Curry. I purchased a Stephen Curry Rookie Jersey Card for $3.00, yes, $3.00! When i got back homes, I used a soft paper towel, gently wiped it off, placed it in a penny sleeve and top loader and threw it into "my" box of basketball rookies. Well, as of today, that card is selling RAW for $300.00 to $350.00 and i have seen PSA 7's sell for $720 and the one I have, i know is way better than a PSA 7, so i will be getting that card graded with PSA and hope to get at least a PSA 8.
