I have one and it says error. Yaw not working or something along those lines. So I put in a different control board , a different kind. And everything works fine. Doe that mean mine is broken?
I dunno if i missed something...why didn't you have to use all the parallel charging plugs on each battery? I though you have to balance charge all the time...?
This is the video I was lookin for... lol I had (3) 7.4v 1,300 mah Lipo batteries that were draining faster than they are supposed to... Instead of 6-7 minutes one would give me 2 minutes flight time in my Bugs 6 drone. So I figured I'd parallel them to get maybe 6-7 minutes flight time from the 3 pack I made... however.... Here's the question... Should I splice the parallel charging wires together too? or just use a triple parallel charger cable to parallel charge the lipo pack I made?
Never ever do this way, It's not balance charging!!! It's only work with new batteries, same type roughly same voltage. He is charging them as a one battery!!! it might happened that one battery charging faster and it can overcharge easy! Once again, never do this way, you will kill battery and yourself in case of fire!
Hey ycopter I know it's now a few years after this video release, but I live in Grantham and visit Belton often I recently got a parrot bebop to Christmas and I'm nearly 12. How hard was it to get permission to film there? because when I read up on it you needed to get lots of permits and other stuff to fly at national trust . Also I like this channel but I'm only new having just seen this video.
Hello Kris, unfortunately The National Trust brought in a policy in 2015 which effectively bans all model flying on NT land. This is a shame as I flew with permission for three years, without any accidents or incidents, and the properties where I had permission had no objection. But the national policy stops any non professional flying. If you have a quadcopter I recommend that you use common sense and fly it way from people and property. There is lots of open space around Belton House where you won't cause any harm. The law says that you must keep 50m away from other people and property (not under your control), and not over or within 150m of a built up area. I hope you find somewhere great to fly your Bebop.
Brighton Rock I'm pleased you have enjoyed my videos, technology has advanced so fast, a few years ago I had to build a gimbal to get silky smooth footage, these days a well tuned mini quad performs like a flying gimbal with a weight saving of around 2kg!
just a quick question the lg 18650 battery from ebay (Lithium Ion ICR18650 MF1 2150mAh ) 20x cells each cell is 2150 ah. The spec sheet says Max. Charge Current 1.0C(2,150mA). So when you have this pack 36v 10s 2p what is the maximum ah current can you charge it 2ah 42v current or 2ah current x 20 cells ~ 40 ah current at 42v. Now if you have 3x 10s 2p in parallel which is 36v 12.12 ah what is the maximum ah current you can charge thats 60 cells is it 60 cells at 2ah current which is 120 ah current for 60 cells or just 2 ah for 60 cells using cccv charger Thank you very much
I've been watching fpv videos since the early days of nastycop gabriel and david widenstal and I have to say this is the most refreshing one I've seen for a very long time. Amazing video quality great flying music that doesn't hurt my ears and inspired editing all combine here, I take my hat off to you. :-)
You are right, I was the last amateur that had permission to fly and film NT properties, their central risk department brought in 'Drone guidelines' in 2015 which meant that only commercial operators with CAA approval and written permission are allowed to fly. It was good while it lasted and I hope I have created some unique footage which will never be repeated.
ycopter. It's a shame. I think the NT should have a little more foresight to recognise a potential source of income by allowing monitored sessions for hobbyist drone flyers outside of the normal opening times of the properties especially in winter when the main visiting season is over.
great info mate top stuff.👍 quick question i have a 3s 65c 5000mah lipo it's 3 to 4 months old but only used 3 times then put into storage voltage. could i buy the same 3s and use it in parallel with the 3 to 4 month old battery that was used 3 times
The patch antenna is a vertically polarised type, designed to work with a standard RD or Inverted vee....or better still a true Dipole on the VTX....It is not meant for Skews which are circular polarised, they dont match.
Yes you are quite right, but that's the range of antennas I had back in 2011. I keep meaning to repeat this test with my crosshair antenna which I built to IBCrazy instructions, I am sure it would work much better as it is circular polarised.
Wow! I was checking some of my old favorite RU-vid content providers, you being one of them, and was pleased to see you are producing video content again. I am a big fan of the videos you produced using the Ycopter 350. Six or seven months passed after your last video on the Foxeer Legend. I thought you may have called it quits. It's good to see you up and about once again. I hope you can find the extra time to produce more content on engineering custom builds. I really love the quality of your flight videos and I especially appreciate the extensive discussions about design concepts and real time application of those designs. Your Ycopter 350 videos motivated me to sit down and think about various materials in custom builds. Thank you again and welcome back! Paul ( sasdthoh )
Paul thanks you so much for your comment; it is good to know how much you appreciated my earlier content. You should share some of your custom builds, it is easy to just buy a frame but you don’t really learn anything in the process. I am still really active with all forms of FPV flying, in the last 18 months I have enjoyed racing, I'm not particularly quick but have enjoyed the growing community of ‘drone racers’ which has brought many new people into FPV flying. Sadly it is getting harder and harder to find interesting places to fly, and I just haven’t had any content that I think is worth sharing. But I have not given up and will post again when I have some interesting footage or technical review.
Hello, I need you a little more explained, and more detailed explanations on how to do this on Discharge the LiPo battery using external resistors, if you have a email or how to contact you
Yes it was a blast, what could be better than a 650g quad with more than 3kg of thrust. I checked the DVR footage of the live feed and the only time I had any breakup was when I was directly overhead, no break-up at all at the top of the cliffs.
