Tyler Tolbert the screw was removed in order to get the differential to more easily pass under that upper, horizontal, cross brace. Once the differential is past that horizontal bar, you can re-install the screw easily.
That's wonderful! I'm really glad it helped someone else. We had been so frustrated with the lack of progress from following the instructions in the manual, that when we figured this out, we felt like we were getting away with something.
