You can’t talk about UK drill without mentioning 67. Bursting onto the scene in 2014 with gritty, raw street anthems like “Its Frying” and “Live Corn”, 67 would soon forge their own distinct sound, leading to being labelled arguably the most influential pioneers of UK drill music. 67 would turn this flame of success into an unstoppable hot streak, releasing tracks like “Take It There” and “Skengman”, taking over the streets of London with their unapologetic depiction of life in Brixton. Everything would change when 67 dropped “Lets Lurk” however; 67 went from an underground sensation to a group whose name was on the tip of everyone's tongues. 67 were subsequently nominated for a Mobo award for “Best Newcomer”, before winning “Best Mixtape” at the Rated Awards with “In Skengs We Trust”. 67 have continued to assert their dominance in the UK drill scene since, introducing new rappers to their ranks such as AK, R6 and PR SAD, adding even more support for the likes of Dimzy and LD.
