Appreciate this is an old video, but that car is simply superb. Beautiful. Thanks for posting. If you still have her, I hope she continues in such rude health. Drooling🤤❤️👍
Sold it in 2015. It is still going well and owned by a Gentlemen in the South of England. Still in the same condition too as I understand. This one was always going to be a survivor👍
Yea ... Waste of a Video, what were you really trying to get across Man ??. or do you not know that this is a rare iconic car. I have an 1986 Twin Plenum Vitesse V8 for over 20 years and history will eventually prove these to be one of the best performance iconic British cars. Ohhh, I am a Paddy from Ireland and I normally do not like the UK cars but I have raced the rover SD1's back in the late 80's and early 90's and I found it to be WAY ahead of it's time.... What A great car, especially the face lift model with the V8 Fuel injection.. Thanks. Tommy Raleigh.
These machines could go back in the day, back in the 80s these things were tarmac terrorists, Cop's never used them for nothing... We had the vanden plas version, not as quick but still a beast.
Nice !!! I had a s reg in the in 1985 with a 3500 5 speed gear box when i was stationed at RAF Bent waters , My son was born in England in 1985 so I wish i could bring a 1985 red with gray inside with a 3500 5 speed to Atlanta Ga. Since the Rover did not do well here to have a right hand drive would be over the top!!! I love the looks of this car because it looks like a executive posh car!!! I had many cars when i was over there living in Ipswich, i liked it there. My grandpas brother was there in the 40's at the Ipswich barracks. England has changed a lot since 1987 when i cane back to the states ! Thanks for showing this on the net it brings me back see you all driving over there seeing the country side. Thanks
Looks in beautiful condition, really nice to see an SD1 Vitesse in good order and loved. I had an immaculate silver 85 VDP Efi and loved it as my first car back in the early 90s. Auto with that glorious 3.5 V8. Was beautiful and such a good cruising motorway car. 👍
I'd imagine he's the guy who sold you the car, as far I know he still pops along to the odd show it's at. I can't share personal details here, obviously - but I can say I remember it when it was registered as C222TMX, and distinctly remember being taken for a blast in it when I was very little. :)
Thanks for the comments - still doing my best to keep her looking that way. In hibernation for the Winter again and will be brought back out in Spring time. They have to be pampered to live this long!
