Kelly is another disobedient sinful false teacher teaching a false gospel from a false Bible. ...and God said that women are not supposed to preach or have authority over men. If she doesn't stop sinning and get right with God she won't be going to heaven when she dies, but God will throw her into the eternal lake of fire on his judgment day coming soon. The CSB was an unnecessary addition to an already oversaturated market of contemporary English bible translations, purely to make publishers some extra cash and keep pompous translators in work. Don't waste time and money on it.
Thanks for your post. The CSB is a favorite of mine. I study it daily from the CSB Study Bible and the CSB Reference Bible. I also have the HCSB Bible.
This is my choice of translations. I also am a fan of the CSB Study Bible as well. It is an excellent piece of work. And you have done a wonderful job of presenting the CSB rext.
For years I've used the ESV for a formal equivalence translation and a NIV for a dynanic equivalence one. Recently I heard about the CSB, and its the best of both, so now its the translation I use every day!
I want to buy this Bible, but the Life Essentials App "Isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android." What gives? The app has not been updated since 2021, but you're stills selling the Bible. That's very disappointing, @ChristianStandardBible @LifeWayVideos!
I recently switched from the NIV to the CSB because the CSB has the perfect balance between literal and readable. I like that you use words like won't and there's instead of will not and there is, that makes the Bible more relatable for me because it's in today's English.
The CSB is my favourite translation. It's got that perfect mix between literal and readable, it's more literal than the NIV but more readable than the ESV, exactly the kind of translation I've been looking for.

I've recently been trying the CSB, I love it! It's replaced the NIV as my main Bible translation. It's very accurate, but it always stays readable too, and sometimes they do that by putting the literal translation in a footnote.
I've been trying the CSB for the last few days in my Bible app, and I love it, so I've permanently switched from the NIV to the CSB. It really has got that perfect mix of literal and readable, especially when they put a footnote in giving me the literal translation when they've gone more dynamic to stay readable. I especially like the way it translates John 3:16, it's actually more accurate to the Greek than the NIV. I like that the app has an audio version too, I'm blind, so I prefer to listen to the Bible being read by an actual person rather than by the speech on my phone.
I worked from my vehicle for over 20 years. I lived listening to this guy. I was in a big internal debate about this bible, after I bought it by grabbing it off a rack. I seen csb and started having issues with it for no true reason. So I studied and RU-vid it. We've Rhone said it's a good bible but this guy....if he said it's OK, then I'm in. He has a great radio program, absolutely great.
I like the CSB and use it daily along with my NKJV. I have a few issues but overall I am happy with it. One of my favorite verses is Micha 6:8 and I don't like what many new translations are doing when trying to make (Man) more inclusive ..it ruins the poetic reading of the verse. CSB is a bit better than ...Oh Mortal...Oh Human...but not happy
The CSB is a very readable translation, I will give you that Why, though, does someone not produce the CSB in a Byzantine edition? The only reason I believe that the Critical Text manuscripts are older is because they weren't read as much as the Byzantine texts, so they didn't wear out as fast! I do not claim to be a scholar, but this is why I would like to see all of these versions also released in a Byzantine text version!
I love the CSB but I just wish I could find the 2020 edition in the size, font size, style and binding that I want. There seems to be a very limited selection and most of what you find is the 2017 edition.
For who heard and rebelled? Wasn’t it all who came out of Egypt under Moses? Heb.3.16 CSB Does this mean Joshua and Caleb fell by the wayside in the wilderness and did not enter the promised land?
I’ve never heard of this translation. Interesting in reading it. Honestly the goal you talk about in this video for the CSB translation, sounds like what the ESV study Bible has accomplished for me. It’s the perfect blend of being accurate, with updated language but also has the study notes to help me deepen my understanding of what I’m reading. The ESV study Bible has quite literally changed my life!
I wish they would’ve kept Yahweh. Also I’m some places instead of hold fast it just says hold. I don’t like behold being replaced by look either. Besides these, this is my favorite translation.
As soon as I heard him open his mouth, I immediately don’t trust anything he says. 1 Cor 6:9-10 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
Its a good modern, readable translation that stays fairly close to the oldest manuscripts. I do really enjoy it. And this @12:03 means so very much to me, because that is what its about. Thank you!
I use the Parallel Plus app. I have CSB, ESV, NASB 2020, and NLT up when I read. If I was teaching kids or someone whose 2nd language was English, i might give them an NLT for its simplicity, but the NLT isnt for me. Enter the CSB. I like it. Good flow. Easy to understand. Thought for thought when it needs to be and word for word when it needs to be.
Im late to the party. I picked up an inexpensive CSB at a discount store for $9 new. It was a hand sized HC double column reference. Fairly small print. It sat on my shelf with numerous other Bibles for nearly a year before I picked it up and decided to give it a little read. I started by reading Jude (its short and engaging), then moved on to 1&2 Peter. Similar vien to Jude. I am now head over heels in love with the CSB translaion, the DK font and layout, and Holmans quality bindings It reads so well. It reads as good as an NIV but is far more literal, which I am after. I love ESV, but the CSB reads better and is a tad more conteporary in its reading. Its just much more smooth. I love NKJV also, but with all the newest discovered text fragments, I prefer an update. After testing and loving what I found and read, I pulled the trigger and ordered a premium verse by verse wide margin reference in leather. Im so happy. The Holy Spirit can use all the translations. I don’t support translation wars. The best Bible is the one a person will read daily.
So rather than translate the word as languages, we're concerned about what charismatics, whose grievous doctrinal errors add to the word of God, will think. Accuracy? Or Ecumenism? Which really was the priority?
I just recently purchased the Rainbow Study Bible in the CSB translation, its the prettiest bible in my collection with all the wonderful colors of the rainbow.
