This outstanding rendition reminds me of when I was seven and my teacher entered me in the local talent show because she heard me singing this song when I was on the swings at recess every day. It was a very small town (500 people) but my father, who was an outstanding singer had been winning it every year. This particular year I won, leading to many more wins over the years that we lived there. Just facts not brag. My seven year old voice was nothing like Brent’s besides the fact that I was a little girl. But one of the things I inherited from my father was a powerful voice and also perfect pitch. Unfortunately now I don’t have that singing voice and my range has gone from being a high soprano to an alto. Brent, I have been a huge fan of Shinedown and especially your voice since I heard “45” on the radio when it first came out. Thank you for all of the outstanding music and your powerful voice. Your music speaks to me. I can totally relate to the words and music of your songs. Recently I have been attached to the song “Monsters “, which I have been around many in my 68 years. The video actually makes me cry every time.
Dammmmnn, man, that crowd was most def hating on Rock, I mean he done an very awesome job in my opinion, rt on key, no mess ups, not to drown out, beautiful tone, and the crowd acted so disgusted.. .. I mean what a disgrace to Americans. He sang it better than Dolly Parton whom messed it all up, oh let's just have a conniption it's Dolly Parton, oh please made me sick, omg.... Idiots ..... Hats off to u Brent Smith - you made America proud! The hell with those Republicans, "that what's wrong with the world today, people done gone put the bible away, there living by law of jungle, not the law of the man". God bless you - and God bless Shinedown ❤🤟
He can sing anything! This was awesome. Love that it was nothing but his voice. Pure, clear, and on pitch! Hope he will do it again. Thanks for uploading!
Proof that auto tune doesn't make you a good singer, being a good singer makes you a good singer. singing the anthem acapla is difficult to do right. He sounds just as good here as live. I finally got to see Shinedown last April and it was awesome. I wanted to see them for twenty years and when I did it was pit by the barricade. It was so much fun.
@@nola281 Yes 100%! A lot of newer pop music honestly sucks because auto tune is all they use. I've never been a fan of rap either. And I love that for you, keep going to their concerts! I went to see Shinedown for the first time in 2022 then I got to go again in 2023, I'll try to go this year as well. I've been in love with them ever since their Attention Attention era, that's when I discovered them. My dad told me to listen to their music because he was taking me to their concert, so I did. And I fell in love. I never actually got to go that year because it aligned with my Kings Island plans I had, but I got to go eventually.
Seeing them in concert, is on my bucket list. I never had the opportunity to see Linkin Park ( I could relate to a lot of their songs. RIP Chester 🙏 You are still very much missed ) so there is no way in hell that I will miss Shinedown live!
