i wish this game wasn't a beat em up because the vmu mini game is super cool haha, i wanted to like the game just because of the vmu minigame! ...god i hate beat em ups
I’m not a 1994 Atari programmer or developer, but I like to imagine it could have gotten somewhere close. Games like Skyhammer show texture mapping in 3D which I think is pretty impressive 🙏
I played with my roommates when the game was new. Before voice chat , before the "this is the only way" mentality. It was fun. The exploration and the friendships.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. I am doing well! I've taken a bit of time to focus on the art, I've picked up a few new devices and games to check out hopefully sometime soon, and for the first time in a while, playing games just to enjoy them instead of feeling like I need to make videos about them 💁♂
Hey man, just wanted to say I always dig your perspectives and interest in kick-ass retro pop culture. You are one of the OG's and it gets me amped up to revisit classic media.
Good on ya! You are such an inspiration. I'm a long-time fan. Keep it up. Don't tell your Mum, I'd hate to get you in trouble, but I would love to see you play Ill Bleed on Dreamcast. It's got a Mature rating, so it may be inappropriate.
So for Warcraft II, StarCraft/BroodWar, and Diablo II for Mac, can you use a two button mouse? I assumed so. I want to get them running on my iMac G3 and it’s be a real bummer if they didn’t play as nicely as the PC versions I’m used to. Also what do I do about CD keys? And I don’t need to connect them online to Battenet do I? I can just play single player offline?
Amazing review, personally I am a big fan of beavis and butthead and the gameboy as well, amazing video and background, you truly are an underrated channnel, I hope you make it really big one day, I’m totally subscribing
I remember the gaming magazines at the time tearing this game to shreds! Giving this game some of the lowest scores I'd ever seen for any game. While this game does have a few flaws, I think it is interesting. I don't know of any other game that gives you the ability to rewind and rewatch the matches with an adjustable camera so that's something. My biggest critique is the matches take a little too long. They should have made the moves do more damage to keep the matches shorter.
It has its charm! And certainly a lot of competition when it was released. It did well with what the Jaguar could do - I do agree though, the matches could have been a hell of a lot shorter, and being on cartridge, loading between bouts wouldn't have been such a problem.
