My grandmother legally adopted me at 64 years old. The best interest is for the child. As long as you have an understanding judge, you have a chance! At least you can foster if you can't adopt.

Yes bc months prior to this. Her she told her mom she was in Baton Rouge bc she has no where else to go. She fell on financial problems in April. Her grandmother service was this past Saturday on July 6. That was the last day she was seen with her kids. She was depressed. And doing it all alone i guess.
@@kpopuniverse852 The photos of the mom and her ( formerly well- cared for ) kids tell a story that's different from what often has happened in these cases ( years of child neglect and abuse). While I certainly don't excuse her behavior, when I saw her photos I thought to myself "this sounds like mental illness of some sort". Complicated bereavement compounded by already existing clinical depression can lead to psychosis. Glad you know something first hand about mom.
@@californiadreamer2580 Photos that are posted on social media cover up who a lot of people really are. And it shows a different story then what’s going on behind the scene. I think she is mentally ill, like something’s not right with her. There’s always a cause & effect.

As a black woman was raised by a single mother and am now a mother myself I can tell you this.. The difference between her and I is that I am happily married to a wonderful black man. Women who are not wives are not mothers. Black women forgo marriage and it spells demise for their children. Growing up in it first hand is why I will always stick by my husband because I know all too well what a broken home does to a child
