Just remembered Desert Planet, which I heard on the Star Wars Underworld podcast years ago, and had to look you up. Glad to see you’re still playing and even have a new album out. And I still love that song.
I don't have words to express how much reading something like this helps me. Thank you! Btw, are you on IG or anything like that to stay in tough? I'm at @f105music there and everywhere else
I answered in the chat last night! But not intentionally. At first, it was derived from the CF-105 Avro Arrow, and my thought was that is if Canada hadn't mistakenly cancelled it, it would have been only F-105 in other countries (we add the C here). Only later did I learn that there was another F-105, the Thunderchief. Interestingly, the first Avro Arrow test fighters used the Thunderchief engine, while they waited for another. Thanks for asking!
I've never gotten that before, but I saw The Hip live when I was 15 years old, and watching Gord, I decided that night I was going to be a singer for the rest of my life. Huge compliment, thanks!
Hi 105, Re: your comment above, the Canadian Shield has nothing to do with governments! Nothing. The Shield is still pure because it doesn't have ill will. It just is. Many native people have made the Shield their home, before the white man's government came. I'm sure they saw it as pure and true as well. Governments are facilities of hatred, coersion and making money for those who comply. Has nothing to do with nature or the natural world that lets all live.
@@Jigneekwe Most of the time F-105 is just me, my voice and guitar. Occasionally it's with a band. Marc provides a lot of the backing instrumentation. On the the first F-105 record, Alex Mina was on drums
@@Jigneekwe haha, you should have recorded a reaction video of you all dancing! And no, I don't think I could pay Marc enough money to get him to dance in a video lol
What a lovely story, put to lyrics. I have shared this with my dear friends who share Suomi heritage. I'm sure that they will appreciate Viljo & Elsa's legacy.
