I like to imagine that what we're seeing is the virtual world lynn is living in seen from its 'outside'. It constantly changes, making whatever she imagines true. Its beautiful. Its a prison. She'll be there forever. A shelter that she cannot escape from.
Lay out the past Pretend that your time has come again Good-bye a world you made to restart to miss her in Oh, it’s a long way forward Long way down Helpless shelter on the open ground And she knows, believes Her love can make you better Let us pretend it doesn’t matter Lay out the past Pretend that your time has come again Good-bye a world you made to restart to miss her in Oh, it’s a long way forward Long way down Helpless shelter on the open ground And she knows, believes Her love can make you better Let us pretend it doesn’t matter Oh it’s a long way forward Long way down Helpless shelter on the open ground And she knows, believes Her love can make you better
Even though this isn't totally polished, I enjoy this version way more than the final version. This also feels like a song by Porter Robinson and Madeon way more.
How does the full one feel less like them? it's not like someone else made the changes in the end. Maybe it has more of the aspect you like about their music, but idk how a song can sound 'less' like the people that actually created it.
Maybe read the story of how the release came to be? they *literally* described this as superficial and not real emotion, and that realization made the shelter release we all know.
people arguing who's dominant in this track, but years of listening to Madeon and Porter Robinson, I think this demo sounds more like it's part of "Adventure" album by Madeon.
@@yb3755 The original came from the porter's big leak of 2017, there's lot of things like Shelter Live audio, and early draft for music such as Language ( full lyrics ) , Sad Machine, Years of War, Fresh Static Snow. even unreleased clip/track.
@@Toxin___InterHalfer it's a mix of that and here on. The end was him making peace with what he had and move on. Actually, here's a spilled secret: The Japanese exclusive version of Nurture has "Fullmoon Lullaby", a song that Porter did not intend to put into the album itself since it reminded him too much of his traumatic depression during the production of World (which, ngl, does sounds like something from World), but would have been a waste for the collab with Wednesday Campanella to not make it since it's all settled.
it took some time but this version grew on me and i love it so much more than the official release. both are great but this one feels a little closer to me.
I don't know why but this song sounds very familiar even I don't listen to the demo or the original version at the first place like damn. And the lyrics tho that makes me so so nostalgic for some reason.... Holy shit thank you for this I just discover something amazing today aaaaa
Ngl, I like the vocals and lyrics more than the official version, I think it would be better if the demo and official's lyrics mix together, and remove some parts to make it better, same goes for the vocals
