NBA Today I spend about 30 hours creating these videos for your entertainment and to add something to your knowledge. I am working very hard and spending a lot of time to create these videos. Therefore, I would very much like to know about your interest in such videos. Thanks For Watching!
NBA Players and their Idols 1. Nikola Jokic and Lebron James 2. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Allen Iverson 3. Joel Embiid and Kobe Bryant 4. Klay Thompson and James Harden 5. Stephen Curry and Reggie Miller 6. Ja Morant and Russell Westbrook 7. Karl-Anthony Towns and Kevin Durant 8. Trae Young and John Stockton
Watching Giannis pick up a Basketball like I would pick up a baseball will never cease to amazing me. When he does it to pick up a ball for a fast break it's absolutely stunning. This is why almost nobody can block a Giannis dunk because even if they get a hand on the ball since Giannis still has a grip on the basketball to be able to finish the dunk. The fact mid flight Giannis has the ball up higher then the red square above the rim makes it even harder.
Craziest thing about this video is I actually went to high school with Noah Vonleh (Haverhill High in Massachusetts) I remember dapping him up in the hallway and his fingers hit my damn forearm and my hand disappeared. Never I'm my life have I ever felt so small
@thecliffold5879 Yeah pretty much, I mean we were both in high-school and it was his freshman year and my sophomore year, I probably grew another inch or 2, he probably grew another 6-7 lol I'll just never forget how massive his hands were and how awesome he was as a person, great dude.
@thecliffold5879 It's even crazier to me now measuring my hands like they show (pinky to thumb) and my hands are over 9 inches and his hands swallowed mine 🤣
Always thought hand size was supposed be measured from base to tip of middle finger and my hand is only 8 inches that way but if the with is the measurement, seems to come closer to 9 1/4. Guess that's pretty avg for someone at6'0
Yeah. But bigger doesn't always mean one can palm the ball. Jordan obviously could palm the ball. But Julius' freakishly long hands made a difference. Jordan once said that Dr. J hands were so long, his thumb from his index finger gap was so far apart. It made it easy for him to palm the ball off of the dribble. There are guys who have bigger hands than me. But I have freakishly long hands, longer than theirs, where I can easily palm the ball. But they can't.
I'm right at 8 1'4". And it's surprising how much that matters and hurt my game in high school. Just another half inch would have been extremely helpful for holding on to the ball and gripping it for dunks or catching passes.
Couple of observations: 1. It's crazy how many players idolize cats that not only didn't even play the same position as them but didn't have the same play style at all. Like CP3. A highly efficient player yet his idol is incredibly inefficient bricktastic gunner Allen Iverson? Makes no sense. 2. This should have been titled NBA Players Born 1990 or Later and Their Idols. Do another one showing players that were born 1970-1990 and we all know who's gonna be their number one idol...by a LOT. People have very short memories.
Nominating Connie Hawkins for this list. I shook his hand as a kid and he just swallowed me up. Later I remet him when I was in my 20s and it was like I had never grown.
