My mother in law backed into something and I attempted to replace both the tail light housing and the one in the hatch. Let's just say only the tail lights got replaced lol. I was able to reassemble the back hatch interior trim despite several broken clips, etc.

I need to express my thanks for this video. I did the same installation on my car last week. The only difference is that I did not have access to a lift so I removed the front bumper cover and did the assembly on the ground. It added more time but it was really only 14 pop connectors. That 10mm bolt will be tricky if you’re working from below. I would advise that you use only genuine Subaru right and left brackets. The aftermarket ones are junk. I ordered the lens assemblies form Amazon but used the real Subaru brackets and hardware. This video covered it all and gave me exactly the details I needed. I suggest a flashlight to help find the clips if taking them off.

Hoe did you detach the clips in the middle console where the gear box is?
@VideoNOLA
@VideoNOLA Месяц назад
Common mistake at 3:10 would be final torquing that bolt until the car is resting on its tires (or you've jacked the hub to the equivalent of ride height). Otherwise, the bushing becomes twisted upon lowering the vehicle, which shortens its life.

The seat track covers on mine were a 🤬to remove. Definitely disconnect battery and pull the airbag fuse. Let it sit for a while just in case, the last thing you want to do is have to replace airbags also.
@ts4143
@ts4143 Месяц назад
In the driver's side seat removal video he says you can wash or pressure wash the seat. That's a bad idea. Due to the airbag(s), and sensors (detect a passenger sitting and enable the airbag), and the heating "element" for heated seats - which looks pretty fragile - soaking the seats is a bad idea. A really bad idea. Seat have had to be removed and repaired, at great expense, because an adult or child in very wet swimwear got it wet.
