Hey guys, we are currently in Bar Harbor, ME for the week. Looking to get on some trails but having no luck finding any yet. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Hello! There are not many trails down in that area, that a Bronco can fit on. Most trails in eastern Maine are with private land owners. The only area that I would suggest is up in Millinocket area. Many different trails and you can see Mt Katahdin, beaches, wildlife, etc. If you come back towards Bangor you can go up Chick Hill or Bald Mountain...just do a search and you will find where the trail starts for both of those.
@@Brraptor The graveyard is not under water, however, it is very difficult to get to. The stream is usually very high and if you go in a different direction the beavers have it dammed up. The graveyard sits up on a hill. BTW, I really enjoyed your video. Great job and great editing!!
I’m looking to do this same thing, for the same reasons. Can you tell me about the wiring for the switch? I bought mine used, planned on using as onboard for air lockers on a Tacoma. Well now I’ve got a rubicon 😂 so I also prefer not to mount this thing. So I am looking to convert it to portable.
I wired the switch as indicated in the manual, almost. For convenience I spliced the switch hot with the light hot and fused according to spec.5a/15a. By doing this I saved space in the loom with the caveat of the switch being illuminated once the Anderson connector is plugged into the source, not a deal breaker for me.
nice rig. how has the rugged ridge snorkel held up? Any problems? Thanks. also, what do you do for security? Not personal, but gear while you're on your road. Would seem to be a challenge with an open bed.
In another video, one man says that the same owner of the Riceville Tannery had another tannery on the Tannery Loop Rd in Amherst, ME, and that that one also burned down, too. Both were covered by fire insurance. Would you have any info or photos of that Amherst tannery? Just curious, I used to take a canoe down that drop, and it also is a local swimming hole today.
I don't have any photos of the tannery. It seemed as though Amherst was a large town, with a college, looking at historical photos. Unfortunately, there are no photos of the tannery. I have also heard that both tanneries were an insurance job, once the industry started to die down.
Great video and awesome rig! What do you two do for water procurement and storage? Do you use a shower system or baby wipes? Looking forward to more videos from you!
That is slick. I recently upgraded to UD 60 axles. This caused me to also upgrade the brake MC/booster to the J8. I had to move my Twin ARB from that location as the new MC/booster are taller. This mobile twin ARB DIY is my next step. Ty so much for posting!
Just like to know why you stay so far behind the vehicle in front of you? Dont get me wrong i never would suggesr riding somebody's bumper but i figure you would want to stay in a tighter group.
Ive been wanting to go there and metal detect for a few years now. Maybe this year. Be a cool place to camp for a couple nights and recover some history.
RU-vid is crazy. My wife and I just got back today from spending 2 nights parked on top of Chick Hill camping with our overland squaredrop trailer. I get back home and this video pops up!
I am curious, is it possible the bolts would be longer on the two screw locations below the two up higher you chose to attach too? I noticed they advertise them in the lower location so I was just curious.
The set of mirrors I received had mounting instructions for the upper area. I do not know if the lower bolts are longer.....I never tried that location.
@@cjsrcworld PV4WD requires that you have a jeep of some kind....wrangler, cherokee, etc. We are just members of that group. If we do overlanding we wouldn't require a jeep.......
