Very similar sounds. Your effects and amps must be good. I had a JT Colonel back in the day til the neck developed a line up the back and I had to let it go. Definitely held its own against my gresch. Jay Turser surfmaster is still in my list of guitars I wanna get. Great guitars.

Surprisingly good ceramic pickups, pulled the covers on mine and, lo and behold, revealed double white bobbins. The bridge is in Joan Jett territory, fun

Is there any way to record the loop and teach the trio @ the same time.

Is their a way to record the looper and teach the digitech @ the same time. I have to play the chords once to teach it and then again to loop it.

I used to gig with one [fits conveniently in a backpack when riding public transport to venues] Mic it up at gigs. It didn't sound too great, but adequate enough edge of clean/crunch tone for purpose. It suited my old school punk ethos and absurdist sense of humour to share stages with guitarists playing through Marshall and similar mega rock stacks. Their amps cost big money, mine about 50 quid.
