Really glad to see you’re back uploading. Love your videos. I am moving near Bath after graduation and would love to join a spin class. Which one do you go to and can you recommend any other fitness classes in the city? x
This is so crazy I have just discovered your content because I am hoping to start uni of bath in September, and was sad you weren’t posting anymore and now you are back!
How to get to heaven❤️: We've all sinned and if God gave us justice we would end up in hell but we have a way to escape this punishment because of what Jesus did on the cross: 1- Believe that Jesus is God who died on the cross for our sins and rose again 2-Know that you are a sinner in need of a saviour and can't get to heaven by doing good or by any religious works 3- Turn from sin and obey God out of love for God and truly love everyone (reading the Bible will help a lot) (Read the Bible verses too 💗) 1- John 1:1, John 1:14, 2 Cor 5:18, 2 Cor 5:21, Acts 3:15, John 3:18 2-Luke 23:39-43, Eph 2:8, Rom 3:23 3-Matthew 25:32-40, 1 John 3:18-23, Galatians 5:6, 1 corinth 6:9-10, Matthew 25:14-30 Thanks so much for reading, God bless ❤️
So I was an accounting major. Personally, I preferred my iPad over my MacBook and the main reason why is because my professors gave us the slide deck before class so I would write/take notes on it during the lecture via good notes. If you’re going to get the iPad, definitely get a keyboard with it (doesn’t have to be the Magic Keyboard) because you will be typing tons of papers and i wouldn’t recommend depending on the school’s computers to do that especially during finals week because everyone and their mother will be there using it. I’m back to studying again but for my CPA and still use my iPad more than my MacBook for it.
Big Congrats! Being a super big fan and I am going to the final year of economics in Bath now! Love your tips and looking forward for some advice on final year economic studies❤
MacBook Pro and iPad Pro owner here (sorry for the flex but it's relevant). if you can afford it (you dont need the pro models btw I just like pro res miniLED displays) im just checking back in with you all to say the ultimate answer to this riddle is to GET BOTH!! some units I just use laptop. other units like maths I mainly just use iPad. some units I use both (hybrid) I was honestly really struggling with uni before I got my iPad now things are coming together rather nicely. if you can afford both, go for it, but try to go for Mac laptop to combine with iPad as when you set up your browser tab groups on safari (so you swap between internet tabs opened for each unit with ease) and same with apple notes (set up a folder for each unit within apple notes) you can swap between your note taking and working through stuff online REALLY well with the integration between Mac OSX and iPad OS. one very handy feature ive been using a lot is pressing command + control + shit + 4 to copy a custom size screen shot to the clip board, from there I often paste it into the hand written note im working on with apple notes on my iPad. im finding the best notes is a combination of free hand expressive problem solving with arrows and colours etc, backed up with screenshots of the info and some hand written notes from the laptop keyboard. I havnt even bothered using the iPad as a computer with the keyboard, it's just slower and missing a lot of the functionality that the Mac laptops have that make them so efficient. think of a 3 - 4 year degree and the cost of the iPad and Mac laptop as an investment into your degree and the decision becomes quite easy. divide the cost of both items over 3-4 years, and then figure out your fortnightly cost to own these both for the duration of your studies and you'll see that its actual quite reasonable and affordable to own a decent spec model of both. its a worthwhile investment to have hardware that does not constrict your learning. my other advice is try to get the iPad Pro 2nd hand as its heavily discounted and often hardly ever used (a lot of people buy them and find they dont use them and because theres no tactical switches, you'll be able to pick one up in perfect condition. for purchasing one 2nd hand ive devised a list to confirm its a genuine article. here is the list confirm serial number checkcoverage.apple.com Check purchase date (cross reference with seller) checkcoverage.apple.com Check battery health confirm you can sign into your Apple ID and download an app from App Store (only genuine iPads can do this) Check IMEI (back of box matches IMEI in settings) check Siri is working (only authentic iPads can access Siri) next get yourself an Apple Pencil 2nd hand or on sale (some sellers have it unused in perfect condition and if you are concerned about the tip apple sell spare tips, and once again, there are no tactile switches so a little wear and tear will honestly cause zero difference. the pencil is a good area to save money going 2nd hand) next, the Mac you'll want to get this one refurbed from previous year model I saved 1 thousand dollars by getting a refurbed m1 MacBook Pro 14". its basically the same machine as the m2 and comes brand new in apple packaging and all certified refurbed items have new back plates/shells (the metal bit) and new batteries, and full tested, with a 1 year warranty ,and the unboxing experience is the same as buying it new, so this is the best way to go for a laptop. I probably wouldn't go 2nd hand personally as some people type really hard and slap the keyboard around and spill crumbs in the fans and things like that, its just a much nicer experience getting it new and certified refurbed will save you stacks of money and you still feel like a million bucks when unboxing it so go for that. I hope this helps and happy hunting :) p.s. skip the magic keyboard its too expensive and if you follow the above advice you'll already have a better keyboard on the dedicated laptop. you will be glad to have the top row of function keys and the full standard Mac operating system keyboard shortcuts. the save heaps of time and the 2k I spent on this laptop was the best purchase decision I ever made and I literally dont even need this computer for ANYTHING other than uni. I already have a gaming PC but that makes zero difference. this thing is such a powerhouse it can handle anything and the versatility of being able to set up your laptop anywhere on campus and watch a lecture on the laptop screen while taking your notes and doing calculations and sketching out your mind maps and ideas on the iPad is honestly the way to go. if you are fearful that its good in theory but you may not end up using it, I've come back to tell you that it was my fear too, yes, but I can confirm that my instincts were true and I DID actually need both and I DID definitely need the iPad. so yes, GET BOTH!! p.s. thanks for the video Miaalicex, you are gorgeous ! sorry to hijack your comments I just wanted to help out your viewers as this decision drove me NUTS for a year straight haha #PayItForward
Congratulations, that's honestly amazing!!! I'm actually starting at Bath to study Psychology in a week or so, so I am super excited - but thank you for all the Bath videos, i've loved watching them and they have been such a great insight into the uni x
I’m really leaning into getting a MacBook to replace my dell. It is the safe option because I know I can do everything on it. But at the same time I want to digitize my studying process with an ipad
The thing is I don’t need my phone to get distracted I can be distracted by literally a cat hair on me and then it’ll be a series of thought until an hour has passed xx
Just a quick question! How does bath university react to pets in student accommodation? I was thinking about getting some sort of gecko but realised im off to uni soon.
You don’t get graded for placement. You just have to submit 2 forms throughout the year telling the uni what you’re up to & tracking personal progress. Then at the end the title of the degree is ‘Economics with placement’ - so everyone passes and it does not affect your grade. 2nd year exams count for 33% and final year exams count for 66% of the overall grade.
hey there lovely!! I’m an international student coming in from a tropical country this september, and I tried to do some research but I couldn’t find any information about air conditioning. I only noticed a radiator in the rooms and google says its usually for heating 😢 may I ask if theres a cooling system?
@@jakemcgregor.611 id say it depends on how warm you get in the night. but for most people, worst case scenario you would need an open window with a fan pointing at it
4:48 Weird, it was the other way around for me. I found it a lot easier to just speedrun maths questions than to do econ questions (econ questions are more involved imo).
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and a Windows laptop (I made a mistake, and got a laptop that's basically a portable desktop), then bought a MacBook Pro 14' later on. And, yeah I'd completely agree with what you're saying. I later bought an S8 Ultra because of the larger screen, and I value both quite equally. Samsung notes works across all devices (yes there was a Samsung notes version for MacOS), and I absolutely love it!
