I think you may be over analyzing a little. I don’t see in the Course this teaching that faith is a different path from forgiveness. It is consistent throughout that to attack and to be attacked are both sides of the ego coin, essentially the same mistake, and both require faith in order to hear the Holy Spirit’s solution, in order to forgive ourselves and each other. Faith is just as necessary to forgiveness as it is to allowing our actions to be guided, because we need faith to believe that there is something else beyond the sins we perceive. Jesus also teaches consistently that the perception of the Real World is a necessary, unavoidable step in the healing of our minds that returns us to Heaven. It’s not just a fairy tale to keep us happy like Ken Wapnick used to say. It is simply the world we see through complete forgiveness.
I spent some time trying to make this point with Joanna with mixed success! I agree with you that faith is the key to any 'miracle-mindedness.' At this point in my process I have 2 categories of experience that call for 'forgiveness,' and 'the miracle.' The most obvious is some kind of confrontation--it could be a mood arising, an event that feels like an attack, or simply when things don't seem to work out the way I want. The other category is 'all the rest of the time' which is easily 80-90%. Faithfulness vs faithlessness, for me, addressess all that ambient gray zone. I can sense in myself whether I am seeking partnership in a sense of 'faith' during those periods of not-much-going-on. Thank you for your helpful, thoughtful observation.

Thanks for saying so...what I concluded, at least in me'own noggin' is that the miracle does require the faith to invite in the Helper, but most of my experience lacks such opportunities (like right now). The idea of '2' ways' the real world and faith covers 2 kinds of situations. One is a direct confrontation with a seemingly isolated challenge, and the other takes care of all the rest. Eg, right now, I turn my attention to spirit for the 'faith' that this reply serves the Sonship in a way that both you and I benefit from--as opposed to some other kind of exercize [my ego trip, defenseiveness, just neurotic rambling]. I appreciate the comment--Joanna agrees with you by the way (doesn't see 2...).!
Are we switching one illusion, "the nightmare" for the "happy dream"? or what some call "the dream of God"? And then that becomes an illusion, too? Great conversation. Thank you.
Thank you for asking, this is a point I am focusing on---this all around me is 'a happening.' it seems neutral most of the time, but if I am honest, it is charged with possibilities of pain, loss, and danger. The 'neutrality' is a false front for the nightmare which can just come from seemingly nowhere. ACIM says 'faith' is the reliance on 'the Soution' to the nightmare. That appears as a happy dream---meaning, each potential danger or pain is charged with grace. Any 'bad' event or outcome [we assume, in 'FAITH'] has already been solved with a happy witness [a good interpreation etc...]. Practically, when my expereince goes awry, becomes painful, looping in negative ways etc...I maintain confidence that these rough waters can and will calm if I accept partnership with 'The Solution' called Holy Spirit in the course. I apologize if this is long or does not get to the point---finding manifestations of the Happy Illusion is a pleasantly long process. The Happy Dream, full of light, love and positivity, gives way to Knowledge, the experience of God that goes beyond the senses. Have a very happy illusion tday!
Also love the point about how people reassure themselves with words and how paying more attention to their rhetoric than their actions can create false smallness. That is helpful perspective.

J- Carpenter bees fly around for a time looking for wood to bore into and lay their eggs, yet synchronicity of your witnessing shows you an outer display of yourself. Extrapolate till the inner and outer flip places and disappear in a puff of smoke.
Yet another comment... cosmic joke is we are trying to get back to where we never left. Right Now. In the 'meanwhile' we get the reality we choose to believe most likely to be so, hence the wisdom of examining what is actually believed. Right now... no time to mull it over except for the time/space we create in which to do so. So it's all good in the eternal now.
Funny how that works--we create a problem and then manufacture the exact time necessary to fix it. Never thought of it that way. Like an infinite can of paint for an infinite house that only exists 'cause you want to paint...
Another comment. Yes, learning ends when you see all that Love is not. Love's own meaning cannot be taught, cannot be learned, for all that is in time, the past or what is to be. Love's own meaning is couched in the Knowing of it, no knowledge required. . Subject object disappear, God makes His move but time and space are not involved. The sliding gradient of awareness reveals what Love is and always has been. So, as I rock on and try to have a normal life I find I can't because the miracles keep getting in the way.
We are not who we think we are. We struggle as we seek salvation for ourselves as an individual, salvation for a conceptual construct. We are something else. One would not send condolences and flowers to the family of a tv character who was killed off for the absurdity would be self evident, nothing unreal exists. We exist though and lend our reality to the world we think we are in...For God so loved the world.................continue the phrase. Consciousness went sideways and is reclaiming itself in a grand act of Self Love, Atma Prem, unconditional self love. The One as many, the many as the One and a case of mistaken identity. Hey guys...still watching and enjoying the intelligent discussion. I wanted to share that I found MSM very useful for the unreal pain and inflammation of the imaginary body that we are not. Just putting it out there. I need to put metaphysical ideas on the back burner for a little while in order to refresh. Watching part 2 as well.
Thanks for saying...J and I keep up with MSNBC and CNN etc... I think of my own body-mind as a sort of extrusion of that world. I hung on the words of Roger Mud, Dick Cavett and even Loren Michaels through my formative years. I like see how that timeline develops as a 'phantom limb.'

@@hamiltonconstellation Worth a try. It's certainly safe and cheap enough. I've used oral caps and topical cream for multiple issues both with almost instant notable positive results. Turned a friend onto the cream for back pain and she swears by it. Fully cognizant of snake oil claims but this stuff works. Doubtful any funding for scientific studies is forthcoming for obvious reasons.

The book The Course in Miracles is very complicated but it has surely been useful to many people. We all have a device in our heads that we call the mind that is designed by nature to help us be human in life. If the mind of a child is constantly attacked by his parents, adults, other children and lacks love, the mind of that child will remain in a childish state and when the human being grows to adulthood the person will see the world with a childlike mind and he feels constantly attacked by everything around him. That is why the basic lesson of the course of Miracles is do not believe everything you see hear and feel, Because the childish mind is going to completely lose control and will not allow you to see, feel and hear reality.

"This [x,y,z] is the intensity of this life that we're asked to live, and [to] bring Heaven here" [44:46] -- this has been so helpful, I've carried with me the past couple of days as a kind of inquiry, similar to the lessons of ACIM; this comment, along with your discussion of sin (the discussion itself a miracle, along with the way it transmits) and the shift in perspective that allows the body to be seen, as with any other virtual object in awareness, as an object of the one mind we all share and all are, it points directly to the heart of any non-dual message. It's mind-boggling, literally, it can't be understood (I've always love the way Jim Newman says, "this is that which can't be known appearing as" x,y,x, such as: this is that which can't be known appearing as writing a comment on RU-vid...) something about watching you both "get it," or relay that there has been an "instant" of a reversal of perception, or an instant of correct perception, itself becomes a kind of node that networks with us, out here in t.v. land. Your discussions show me how to really work the text in a way similar to the daily lessons , all into a fruitful kind of practice and/or ritual. All very helpful, thank you.
Fantastic affirmation, thank you. This idea/phenomenon of intensity being 'an object of meditation' was most clear on the long drive we did. I understood that I 'wait for an optimal place' that I can say is 'beautiful,' a miracle, etc...when it is the (x,y,z) that is the stuff of every second of every day. Right, mind boggling. It was great to read this.
It is bullet-proof coffee, 'created' by Dave Asprey. His website is, 'The Bulletproof Executive.' It is an adaptation of 'yak-butter tea' which is the mainstay beverage in Himalayan Tibet. Blend at a high speed until a froth on top. Amounts vary per taste--I probably use a little more of the oils. By the way--coffee is best at 4 tblspns ground coffee per 16oz of good water. Thanks for asking! It is a food in itself. Some people find it can delay the first meal until 1 or 2 pm.

In the absolute present moment is the eternal life without time or, the past and future.We as oneness have been created in His image and are total potential and creation.I think the projections we experience are from programs,like frequencies in a computer that start the illusions.Seems real.....BUT not so.These may be designed by the so called fallen angels that couldn't let their desires go and became material........trying to be GOD.

The mystic Rudolph Steiner said that (believe it or not!) the our 'head' is what we have left from our original fallen state as beings. The body was crafted by angels to allow that 'head' (sense of 'me' etc...) to continue its spiritual path in this 3-d environment. (We used to not be in a 3-d environment..Random thoughts!) Thanks!
Your contemplations of the Course are unique on the internet as far as I can tell, certainly of great value on YT. The mind is certainly a fun tool to play with. I must admit that listening to your commentaries often leaves me puzzled, yet stimulated to engage with the ideas of ACIM at greater depth. I love this format you’ve created where we’re just reading and discovering together and how to bring this teaching into our lives. It’s not a “lecture” or a “how to” or a “this is what it means” podcast. It’s joining with others who are struggling to apply this path. I appreciate the effort you put into this and hope you continue. I have many good friends and enjoy a vibrant social life, but I’m completely silent with them about my spiritual beliefs. I listen to the current “teachers” and “lecturers” and they are really helpful but it’s wonderful to have you there to study with. Thank you

My guess is that there can be actual miracles! Such as the glorified body in Christianity, which is immortal. Otherwise it would be horrible if the human body always remains being made to deteriorate. Edit: Wow, you quoted something from ACIM that is in alignment with this: "... and dies because it is attacked to hold the separation in the mind ". Death is then a result of an error in the mind.

Thank you so much for doing this. I started in 2008 with Napolion Hill and later Abraham hicks for my own business. Attained it all, but went almost insane with always when manifested then next step next step. I became so depressed and I had everything. Found the course in 2019 and it really helped me getting out of the manifesting mindset. It hurted me so much, messed my mind really up I think. Still those patterns come up for release. I was so angry at Abraham hicks for f* up my mind. But maybe I needed it, to get on the spiritual path. When the first time I came in the course at setting the goal, I couldn’t believe it. Again goal setting? Serious?.. arrrrgggg But I started to notice it was giving me peace, which I never had with goal setting. You telling about napolion hill really helped. Thank-you for your story--- Joanna and I both have 'done the manifesting' and as you said, there is always another thing, and the results of the effort ends up being some shifting magical sands. ACIM's idea of 'goal-setting' seems to have what 'ask and you shall receive' lacks. It might be a good one to do a program on since there is a lot of overlap of the ACIM/manifestation people. P.S. I do think there is a strong case for understanding WHAT manifestation is 'in truth,' and how it can help in practical concerns. Thanks again!
@@hamiltonconstellation yes I would love that video. Because in my experience it seems to have worsening everything in my life. Which was maybe needed, but created a lot of self hate, anxiety and insecurity for me. I couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong, and trying to figure out the way out also made it much more terror. The course really helped me get back in an easy mindset and understanding what was going on back then, what was causing the terror. These kind of videos also helps me a lot for me clarifying what caused the intense terror and feeling of now I manifest more of the bad things. Insane thought loops where I was stuck in.
I had an out of body experience and an NDE. The Course is correct, we are all o e big, humongous LOVE. We can’t even think anything bad about another because we are the other! ❤

Profound teaching and conversation. Thank you. Edit add... problems not the body but rather the way we regard it. Our tendency to compartmentalize ourselves is separation in action (just a thought). Somewhere in ACIM is the line...'the brain communicates to the body of which it is a part'.... mind/body symbol imagery and lowercase selfhood is all part of the dreaming but we are prior to that. It's wonderful precision and we get a front row seat.
I don't know if you meant it this way, but the precision-aspect of miracles/ holy instants and 'my particular need/understanding' seems infinite and proves-out the intelligent care that forgiveness creates [the witnesses]. Thanks, as always!
