Can we just take a second to appreciate the skill? These dudes are flying at ridiculous speed so close together that one mistake could mean serious issues for them all. So friggin cool
@@MattsGolfRxwell my one brag is I always bet I can out drive people and then when I do it, they always say let’s play for score and then laugh and say I’m literally happy Gilmore before he met Chubbs.
The most important thing you have going is a good stroke. I can see that. You have no rotation. And you are right, you have to practice. Pro's do. People don't. But another important thing. When practicing short putts, you have to START OUT making those putts. In repetitive practice timing alone starts putting them in the hole. That timing is not there the next day when you start out. When you develop a stroke where you START OUT making them all, you have developed a proper technique. And this is where the RELEASE comes in. A released stroke is more consistent and is not so timing dependent. When the release came in touring players across the board got a lot better on short pressure putts. They now even make a higher percentage than you indicate. Thanks Ben..... and Tiger. He does that right hand only drill for a reason. Wonderful way to develop a nice release with no rotation. Release under and not around.
Hey brother, I’ll be qualifying too for the USGA mid am. I’m a +2.5 and I never qualified but I’m starting to get closer I feel. Putting is everything that’s for sure. My weakness is getting up and down. Not consistent enough. Where are you qualifying? I’m in Florida
@@Mikegolfin1 GOOD LUCK!! I had to WD due to my shoulder sucking ass and yeah didnt want to drive through a hurricane. I work Wednesday so any rain delays would have made it tough to get back :/
Yeah I understand man that would be tough on the mind too and thanks I need it haven’t been able to play much so nothing to lose mentality just relax the hands and let it go
@CHET_CHADDINGTON Thanks so much! Yeah it wasnt too overbearing but the mic tends to hilight that vs the birdies and stuff like you could hear on the back 9. Ill try to find a way to dial thay road noise down just a bit but maybe not eliminate it totally :)
@@MattsGolfRx I will say, i would love to see a little more of the shots in between from address maybe to the pull itself. I watched the full video and it was awesome!
I watch a buncha these videos with the "swing analysis" and every other kinda computer thing a guy could think of and i wonder... how in Gods name did I learn how to play in 1982 with nothin more than a worn out set of Northwestern clubs?
I agree! I remember my ping eye 2 woods and used them till the mid 90s...recording my swing on a vhs camcorder and playing it back on that black and white screen lol.
I'm about your age, a shade older. Haven't been able to play in years...due to bad step children, not health. Just got myself an unplayed set of TaylorMade ICW 11s, can't wait to get back out and play. I tend to play an all irons kinda game, 1-SW and a 60°, love to see some of that on the channel. Look forward to your stuff.
Hey mate, kid from Australia here. Can’t say I’m gonna be your number one fan or anything but I’m excited to see what you’ve got coming! Can’t stand how many of these 20 odd handicaps have golf RU-vid channels and don’t really offer any content. I play off 7 and feel like I’m still a complete hack. Look forward to watching your videos!
Thanks so much!!! Thats kind of how I felt about a lot of channels and just wanted to do something a bit more...personal..and how i go about things..while trying to think if what I do may help others in their game. I really appreciate you!
