I know this is 6 years late but dude thank you so much for making this video, it was the exact thing I’ve been looking for since I wanted to get 3 chests on this challenge and didn’t know how to without dying or beating Ioth too fast since I was using a strategy from a speedrunner called Enel. Your setup in the description was very helpful as well and I appreciate all of the work you put into this.
To say that this battle is unfair would be an understatement. Youd think with custom difficulty settings you'd have a pretty easy time, even without having maxed baleds and accessories
For anyone trying to do this horrible floor of the trials in 2023, grab the Spiked Moblin Club on floor 5 and just use that (before it burns). It has like 2x the damage of the sword he used.
Is this still doable without NG+ gear slots or should I stop trying I've been wanting to get a Master Scope before starting NG+ but that one goal has stalled me for years, on and off booting up the game to give it another few shots
OMG I already beat the whole Trial 3 years ago, and now I tried it again. Second time took me 20 minutes running around, then I paused and saw this. I managed to survive with my remaining 2 and half hearts.
My run was going well until it fell apart when the (right side) Lizalfo slid into the water after the first sneakstrike ... turns out all I had to do was duck behind those boxes and reset the encounter. 😩 Also, when it lay back down, I noticed it was further from the water, meaning no more risk of it sliding in. Of all the changes I want to see in TotK, I hope they made significant improvements to the physics engine - like surfaces not becoming frictionless whenever an enemy or player falls down.
I tried this level I don't know how many times and it never occurred to me to just try and sneak up on them. I need more practice at the sneak strike chain. That's new to me. I has the 3rd one slide off in the water after my second strike and I did just what you showed us - I hid behind the crates until the dumb thing went away. Thank you so much!
Although the beginning trials are hard, this one has got to be the hardest!!! Every time I attempt that level, I die (I also play on Master Mode)! Hopefully this method helps me! Thanks a lot!
I'm down to the last silver lizalfo and I'm screaming cause he keeps falling in the water and Regening. My attack boost is nearly gone, seriously screw whoever came up with this section. It's actually impossible
