Good vid n test. Ur #1 choice the Traffic is the best n expensive.. I use duraseal n all the Bona products.. Many are hard to come by in july 2024... And prices have sky rocketed.. Very interesting n informative.. Ty.. From Sandman floor in Pgh Pa.
DIYer and doing my first hardwood floor project (stairs). This was IMMENSELY helpful in deciding which product to use. The thoroughness and objectivity of three testing was excellent. This could be marketed. Well done and thank you.
well done , great video , great testing , great product review ..... I'm perplexed though , I can't decide if the "toy car and winch" were for "science" or "humor" ..... I got both ..... lol .... seriously , really good job dude ....... I have to do a small floor repair , the stain came out okay , but I have no idea what clearcoat was used on the floor , I'm just going with the basic Varathane oil poly for floors , got it at HD ...... hope it matches up okay , we'll see ....... what a crap shoot trying to figure this stuff out
This is where the 1% sacrifice virgins...at least its one of the places. They were going to build a resort there, but the 1% didn't want too much attention put on this spot because it yields lots of power per virgin sacrificed.
I used Bona traffic on my stairs and was NOT impressed. The areas where there is wear through the finish it seems to almost peel away at the edges of those areas. I contacted Bona support to see if I applied it incorrectly and they didnt even ask about my application procedure steps before saying "No finish is going to hold up against a dog's nails." and then stopped replying!
I appreciate your attention to detail. I wish i cared about anything as much or even 1/2 as much as you care about covering all the bases, factors, possibilities, and ensurng all variables are controlled during testing
Likely the best video on youtube. Seth does the Bona Traffic look the best as far a grain and visual clarity? Or is there a sacrifice with durability and clarity of the finish in your opinion? Seth, are you available for consultation?
I use varathane diamond for floors and guitar finishes. Super durable and never had an issue for 15 years. Anything will scratch and wear if you rub sand paper over it or scratch it with a nail. Foot traffic is not as harsh.
Been in the industry for 10 years now and traffic HD and pallmann gold are the only two that I ever use. I can safely say they will last and also won’t run my customers out of their homes for too long due to quick dry/cure times and low VOCs. Your video is awesome and I will recommended to my customers if they are ever curious to know!
Hi Seth, Cool video. Im collaborating/supporting a local artist in Victoria with a video, I went there and shot at night and Im looking for some footage from the day and I wonder if I could use two clips from your video. Thnks!
