Which social media platforms (RU-vid, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Websites) should I follow to get updates in the design engineering field to gain knowledge? 5. Apart from this amazing community, which other communities/servers (discord, Reddit, Telegram or FB Group) should I join to interact with expert design engineers to gain knowledge? 6. Which industry is the dream of any design engineer to be part of like Aerospace, Automobile, Renewable Energy, Robotics and Automation, Biomedical, Consumer Electronics, etc which also provides the best salary? 7. Which country has the highest scope of design engineers like the USA, Germany, etc. 8. Do I need to pursue a Master or I can work in the above-mentioned countries with some working experience, projects and internships without a Master's? 9. When I follow your method, the browser shows the original mesh plus few new bodies. And when they are exported to 3D print or STL, and then re-imported to Fusion 360 and converted from mesh, they still show up as several independent bodies. Is it possible to combine them into a single body? If I attempt it, the original body converted from mesh cannot be selected for combining. And does it hurt commercial 3D print house to have several bodies in STL?
Let me add my two cents here... It has happend to me when I copy from a certain sketch and then when paste it is in different level.. when creating a new sketch have to be sure where...
Too bad this no longer exists-as an app? However, I wondered whether or not a 3D image can be reduced in size to ,say, a 1/3 model. I am looking for a way to use it as a portrait painting tool. Does seem pretty complicated though😮!

Isn't working on Fivver just the same as getting a second job? Wait tables and use that income to buy a printer, more reliably and faster and without the concerns of getting bad customers and credit card charge backs and tax returns and so on?

Thanks HEAPS for this Adam!! You have no idea how long it took me to find a solution to what I thought was a super simple problem. I usually use Blender for modelling but with the complex mesh I'm working with I was unable to shell it. Meshmixer did the trick perfectly! Fusion 360 however, has to be one of the worst pieces of software I've ever used 😂 Side note for those wanting to print their shell, you can skip the "Make solid" step [especially as Fusion kept crashing and refused to do mine] because your slicing program will automatically fill the cavity between the two walls before printing 👌 Cheers, Rich

@judekemu8026 the major skills and design tools knowledge is required to unlock your potential of product designer. I am sure you must be having the knowledge of design thinking, understanding customer requirement, funnel the ideas, thinking about its failure modes, engineering calculations, Stackup, DFM, DFA etc.. If you really wanted to be a successful designer these are the basic skill sets of the engineer.
I would download fusion 360 and start a free trial if CAD product design is really what you are after. I have a beginner fusion 360 tutorial where I walk you through start to finish to design a phone stand. Start there and see how you like it 👍

Hi! I’d recommend getting involved in an SAE club and focusing in on complex moving mechanical sub assemblies if that’s your dream! If you wanted to go into PD first, it certainly won’t hurt, but I’d focus on a PD role which gives you experience and knowledge in moving assemblies or mechanical design knowledge that you can leverage in the formula 1 industry. @@adamtjames Thank you so much, that was the idea that I was needing, I was very scared because I am going to finish high school at the end of the year and I like this career because you can be on a lot of different areas working so you could easily get a job and also I could work for my dream to become a formula 1 engineer, I am going to look for the SAE club, actually I was very confused because in my country this career isn´t very known
@@ThusithaJayakody honestly, your undergrad is sufficient to apply to a PD role. If you don’t have PD experience, I’d buy/make your own 3D printer, learn fusion 360 and start and document your projects!

Thing is I have fusion 360 on my MacBook Air m1 but it runs really bad and glitchy, how did you get yours to work well? I mean the cheap computers at my school run fusion better 😅
I used to use Fusion on a MacBook Air but it was intel. Switched over to a MacBook Pro Apple silicon and it works well for me! But I agree. Cheap computers at school running windows?
