@DupagechildrensmuseumOrg I remember coming to the Dupage Children's Museum as a child and loved the green-framed Rube Goldberg machine with the golfballs. I looked up the official RU-vid channel specifically to see if it survived the flood, but being in the middle of one of the flooded rooms does not look promising. Were you able to repair the machine, and is it still there? Are there any videos I can watch of just this one part of the museum at its prime, with multitudes of golf balls running along it?
Is he mad at me? Because I got mad at him before. I got mad at him for dying of stomach cancer. I know that I have to be careful when I say bad stuff about a dead person, but I said lots of bad stuff about him when I was younger because I was so mad at him. I bet he's pretty mad at me for getting mad at him. I am not mad at him anymore. I am just mad at the stupid stomach cancer that killed him. I just wanna make a stomach cancer piñata and beat it with whatever I can find. Stomach cancer is the bad guy because it killed Mister Rogers. Stupid stomach cancer.
I think Mr Rogers would say that it's okay to have all of those feelings, and that they are part of grieving. Those feelings mean that he was important to you and that you miss him, and what a beautiful thing that is! I think he'd see you full of the energy that comes from having loved him, and he'd ask what some ways might be to turn that energy into something that makes the world around you a little bit better, and the Neighborhood just a bit bigger. <3
