Everything from ferreting to pigeon shooting to lamping and living the country life , we do our absolute best to insure the taking of game never goes to waist by getting it into the food chain one way or another from eating it ourselves , selling or giving it away or feeding animals with it , this is a practice that has been with us since an early age , we also understand the importance of vermin control , helping to manage top apex predators has a good impact on the survival of so many other species some thriving but also more importantly of the threatened, we take what we do very seriously and hope to educate aswell as entertain , thanks so much for watching , liking and subscribing and long may it all continue We wish you well The south Somerset Ferreters
The Squirrel Pox Virus Disease is usually fatal to red squirrels. Grey squirrels are carriers of the infection and can spread the disease to red squirrels. Greys have developed immunity to the disease having been exposed to the virus for many years. In sharp contrast, the mortality rate for untreated infected red squirrels in the wild appears to be 100%, most dying within 15 days of being infected.

A nice job, my peanut feeder is doing very well.... the leaves on the tree's are slow to bud here in South Wales so I can still see the Squirrels coming from a long way off.
That’s because all those things you mentioned ain’t under threat , hedgehogs are , one main cause of their decline is badger predation , do some research please, if you protect an apex predator everything else suffers as a consequence, do some research and educate yourself
@@southsomersetferretersfiel5202 Aint under threat? Did you even check how they treat them there? It's worse than lions on zebras. You should listen your advice because you keep telling to everyone like a robot without real meanings.
@@southsomersetferretersfiel5202 Here's another answer for you. IT'S PART OF THE NATURE! Where you have been when Dodo's and Tasmanian tigers extincted, hm? Why you're not talking about them?
