Guru Saj is one of the most cute adorable characters in the series of Friends. I even feel cozy with him. He is completely adorable and the actor makes an excellent job.
People are too enraged about how they were poking fun at Ross's phd. From my point of view, I think Amy does not fully understand what it means. In this context I think Amy thinks phd means Pretty Huge D**k that is why she said "Eww". And also whenver they poke fun at Ross about his phd is bc he thinks so highly of himself, he thinks he's so much smarter than everyone else that is why they use it to make fun of him. They do not mean to shame people with phd it is just something they do to make fun of Ross.
Heard somewhere once that having a third nipple meant that you were a witch (or used to be used a a sign that someone was a witch whenever people started witch-hunting), anyone know if it's true?
I know it's a running joke on this show, but the thing with the 'doctor' title is frustrating because of how many ignorants in the comments think Ross is not right to use it, while he is right! The 'doctor' title was created and used specifically in academia, not medicine. 'Doctor' comes from the Latin word for "teacher" and originally referred to a small group of theologians who had approval from the Church to speak on religious matters. Eventually, the term saw greater use referring to FIRST qualified academics and then, much, much later, medical professionals. It has been used as an academic title in Europe since the 13th century when the first doctorates were awarded at the University of Bologna and the University of Paris. Having become established in European universities, this usage spread around the world. Contracted "Dr" or "Dr.", is used as a designation for a person who has obtained a doctorate (commonly a PhD/DPhil). The wide and popular usage of the 'doctor' title by medical practitioners, came much, much later, only in the late 18th century. So Ross not only is RIGHT to use it, but historically, he has more right to use it than Dr. Green. So sit down all you 'geniuses' in the comments, commenting how Ross is not a real doctor. He is, and in fact, he had more right to this title, than Dr. Green had.
PhDs are probably the second most difficult graduate degree to obtain after MD/DO. They're the ones doing most of the research in to new medications and treatments for various diseases. Arguably just as important as medical doctors.
