Great riding Brainy! I am 57, been trail riding for a few years. Decided to start racing some Enduros this year. I talked to a few other racers, and they all said, "Yeah man, you need to be in the 55+C class.' So, I entered my first Enduro, in the 55+C class. At the start line, I met a bunch of racers, (55+C) and talked to them. "Nice to meet you Steve!", "Good luck Steve!" "If I can help, just ask Steve!" "See you on the other side Steve!" Then when the flag raised up they ran my ass over. I never realized just how fast many of the 55+C riders are. I now race in the D/Beginner class. My goal is to get fast enough to race with the 55+C class, and stay on the lead lap. Really ejoyed watching your race! I found it fun to watch, and I picked up some pointers! Thanks!
As someone who was conceived in the 60s, I think I can say this... Looking good old man. Just got a bike after a 15 year layoff and races like this are exactly what I want to be doing.
After watching your video I remember why I started running the PM at GNCC id rather fight a beat up track then try and get around 500 C riders there were 3 guys down or off the track in the first 3 turns lmao. How did those gummy tires do on the fire roads? Your video looks just about like mine from 2019 all I did was wait for hills to clear and people to move or wrecked myself trying some dumb line to get around them. Good finish way to be consistent that's what those kinds of races take.
It was my first time there, but I think the gummy tire was awesome. I would use it again and it was a cheaper one from Rocky Mountain ATV $69. It still has knobbies on it but needs rotated. I think it was a little wobbly, because of the softer compound, but it was worth it in the rocks and roots.
nice ride ..........I'm guess'n it was a MERP series race ............trqck looked nice and those trails were really clean.......looked like a good time
Is this Amherst as in like Buffalo, NY Amherst ? If so, I'm just a couple hours out , in Erie. Nice course, nice riding ! Little faster than my pace my bike is vintage and so am I !
