For moving try to use everything you already have like clothes to wrap breakables and I used to put them in my luggage for extra protection. I also bought big trash bags for clothes and shoes and non breakable things so I could reuse them after. That way I only had to buy a small amount of boxes. Changes are always good there is something better coming!
I think Banku in Ghana is called Tuwo masara in Hausa, Nigeria 😊. Lovely to see it's not just a northern Nigerian thing And "sobolo" is Zobo in Nigeria. Sobolo sounds funny though. 👍
I like to pack my dishes in my linen i.e. between towels, wrapped in pillow cases, kitchen towels, blankets etc. You can also utilise your clothing i.e. tee shirts, hoodies, sweaters etc. I've also used paper towels between dishes and then just reuse them later. Glassware can be put in socks and then fold the sock inside the glass. All the best in your move and new home!

When moving I've always done and seen people use old newspaper to protect plates when moving but if that isn't available my idea is use your clothes 😅 like a shirt I think would protect plates well, hope you're moving closer to your work so your commute is more convenient! Good luck!
