This is an epic heavy metal song with all the ingredients to expand and go wild. Off the charts with the chord progressions and the lyrics are killer. This is in my opinion the heaviest metal song by Queen. Thank you Brian for a polished metal example. Pure Rock and Heavy Duty Roll

This is probably the period when the ENTIRE band was bored with playing WWRY every single gig… Brian's riffing & solo was so bland and Freddie didn't even bother trying (to hit A4s!)
People were overwhelmed. I was there for this tour. . LA @ The Palace.. Blew all the wannabe hair bands through the back wall of the the building. Stunned barely describes it afterwards. Plus the working bands that were there like us. Having seen Queen 10 times since the legendary Hoople tour. Yup.
In 1986 Freddie Mercury recorded song 'Creatures of the night' aka 'Music of the night' ( alternate song title ' Back to the night)'!!(during A kind of Magic recording session ) .The Darkness/ Dark ' intro track was recorded by Brian May in 1979 (during the Game recording session) .I heard that Freddie listended music background from song' Just one life' in recording studio ( 1989/90?) and he watched music notes on papier
