We’ve toured all the same roads/places 3times over the last 3years , ( we were actually there at the same times as you both, may have passed each other 😁) beautiful place, And we are in love with the whole of the highlands , enjoyed watching you both on your adventures 👍🏼😁
Nice videos. I have the same Himi. couldn't find one in NM? Motopia in Albuquerque is where I purchased mine. Dealer for Triumph, RE, Beta and newly Aprilla and Moto Guzzi. Can't say enough good things about them. Bought my Triumph and RE from them and a Yamaha XT250 from Bobby J's all in the last 18 months. Always looking for Himi riders to ride with if your ever interested.
Taking up riding just shy of my 55th birthday... in hopes of having adventures like these. We drove much of this route on our honeymoon by car. It'd be grand to retrace on motorcycles. 🏴 Thanks!
The SV might be lacking in confort for long rides, no ? (Though it's a great bike !) I took my Street Twin on long rides, I love it, but that's not her best feature…
MotoExplorers in Lisbon is our favorite MC rental outfit & Portugal has some of the best riding in Europe. Hope you can catch a little 2 wheeled fun while you're there.
Greetings from fellow riders on Skye (I know, lucky us)! Great video, loved the way you embraced Scotland, rain & all. Very smart itinerary, most try & fit in too many miles & end up not really seeing anything. Next time you're up our way stop by for a bit craic and a wee dram 😀
Thanks for the lovely comment and we hope to be lucky enough to return to Skye soon. What a magical place, not that I have to tell you! Cheers, Friend!
Thanks! Trying to walk the line of being as true to our travels as possible while still hopefully giving a nugget of useful information for someone else. Fantastic! Wishing you low-traffic roads and beautiful views. Safe riding!
At last someone has put the date they travelled instead of trying to guess, I am going in June 23 to Dunnet Head and Ardnamurchan Point on my Rebel 11oo last year I did the NC500 on my Super Cub 125 great fun.
Can I just say this comment really is my favorite. I cannot tell you how many video I watched in preparation for this trip where I was so frustrated that I couldn't figure out what time of year they were traveling. I know the weather in Scotland changes so much some would say it doesn't matter, but I do think sometimes context helps with planning things like route and clothing. So this made me smile! Thanks for that! Wow, a Rebel 1100! Just love the Rebel platform. Honda makes a solid bike. What an amazing adventure, thanks for sharing.
My mothers a Scot, or was she is gone now, and I never really spent a lot of time in Scotland, thank you for showing us it’s amazing beauty, I also have a couple of bikes, a sports cruiser and small ADV, great fun here based in Thailand.
Oh wow! The first time I was ever on a bike it was in Pai, Thailand. Like most reckless tourists I got in a small accident that was avoidable if I had just taken the responsibility more seriously (no one hurt, just my ego). But it was absolutely incredible the 20 minutes before that :P Thank you for sharing about your mother, wishing you peace and I hope you get to go back to Scotland if it's something that you're feeling pulled to do. Suerte!
Stunning views and great video, I'm going there at the end of May with few friends on our bikes for one week, hope to explore as much as we can in that week and hope for good weather :D Keep the great work coming and ride safe 😎
Thank you for these very beautiful landscapes that I will visit this summer with friends. Teague, you are such a graceful biker to see on the road. Your jacket, scarf and windblown hair ensemble are absolutely beautiful. Both take care. Michel from France
thank you my friends.. Such a feel good vibe :) Happy anniversary. You got my subscription when Teague was running around the field under the gaze of the three Sisters of Glen Coe. Scaring the wild free range haggis hahaah :))). Just a note though. Please store your go pros in a bag of rice overnight.. Once you get into a warm hotel room the cold camera will stream up inside . I was glad to see they acclimatized for Ilean Dune castle and The Bealach na Ba' . Keep happy and many more safe miles on A map 🏍 :)))
Being reminded how beautiful our island is, by blimmin' foreigners ! ;) Good to you don't need big cubes or specialised machinery, just rely on mo'sickle competence and have fun.
I don't normally like background music on ADV videos but this big band sound was enjoyable. On the ride itself, that looked like a seriously rough section with flood damage. You're on an R1100GS, right? Good old school boxer.
Completed section 3 in April, solo, BMW F700GS. I found this section to be relentless. The conditions were bone dry before the fire and rain. After making it up the 'hill' I foolishly expected the terrain to ease up. There never seems to be a break from various challenges. Sand, gravel (large gravel, more likes rocks), imbedded and loose rocks gave me the occasional pucker, but thankfully never dropped. 11.5 hours from ABQ to TorC to Reserve. Slow and steady for this 72 year old. Stayed at the Hidden Springs Inn in Reserve, decent rooms with attached restaurant. Very nice video, thanks.
