Hi there, I have a 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV with 18,000 miles on it, purchased new. Recently, the engine light has been coming on and off. I took it to AutoZone for a diagnostic check, and the codes shown were: • Power Train System • Secondary DTCs: P0OFF • Body Control Module Requested MIL Illumination: U1962 Do you know what these codes mean? Thank you!
@@ArrowGearhead the 2 ground n studs back of 5.3 GMC on passenger side that ground wire is brake n where it's connected to it at an can't remember code but it was knock sensor o ya I do show po300 randem misfire to sorry bout that.
It's funny all these "shavings" are landing in the same bearing. No hybrids in the recall? Is Toyota going to let the customer find the problem like they did with the tens of thousands of bad 2.5's in 2020?
Right I think they should have clarified why the hybrids are excluded from the call. Maybe the manufacturing time of the engine is different. I don't know man
@@ArrowGearhead The hybrids were excluded because if the gas engine quits, the hybrid motor can still move the truck off the road. Toyota did a "safety" recall, not a it's a piece of junk and we're going to hope all the engines make it of warranty recall.
So their claim is now that, for two years, the engine techs just weren't doing their job... At some point, blaming metal shavings for blown engines is like blaming dented bumpers for head on collisions.
I don't know man, maybe they are researching and finding out what to do. May be finding the pattern of bearing wear takes time, may be they are waiting for enough data as cases are reported from customers. Or they were just contemplating about the recall.
I discovered another reason for the check engine light. On occasion, while driving with no obvious engine problems nor fault symbols on the dashboard diagnostic display, the car would pass over a pothole in the road causing a mechanical shock to both the car and it's ocupants. Simultaneously the check engine light would illuminate on the dash.and remain on thereafter. If I used my OBD2 reader to turn the check engine light off, it would remain off thereafter until the car ran over another pothole or bump in the road, etc.
Thank you for sharing It could be an electrical continuity issue due to vibration from the hole, or it could just be a faulty sensor. Is it only the check engine light or some other light also? What is the code?

Dont waste your money on this junk scanner, I bought one and it is useless, losses its connect to your Ipad or Android pad, very limited information. So dont wast your $100 dollars on this, but buy a scanner in the price range $400>$500 then you have a chance to get a reasonable scan tool
