My brother just bought an extremely rare reggae 12” 45 for $11 that usually sells for $200 +. It sounded absolutely horrible - thus the $11 price tag. It had what appeared to be some sort of shellac on the surface. It took 9 glue applications but it now sounds incredible. I wish I could attach the before and after. He , like most people, thought the idea was ludicrous. Not anymore.
Even though the playback is from a distant speaker instead of directly to the camera; I can hear the difference easily. Very time consuming though. Buy good wood glue! The presenter turned the bottle that we cannot see the manufacturer.
@reidflemingworldstoughestm1394 I still think that's a good solution for broken tape cases. If It didn't glue the broken case back together. I wouldn't be able to hear the music media on the tape.
I gave up on records long ago. They won't play in my phone. Or my car. Or anywhere else. So I store my old records in the basement, next to the crank from grandpa's Model T.
