noble hierarch is a paper only card, better on modo to play birds of paradise. in paper you bestow your hierarch with the endurance loop so you can attack for lethal with exalted. Birds of paradise is a 1-of as protection against run afowl in the nadu mirror
You can see it as the new "burn" it's the new main aggro deck, yes very strong but not impossible to beat. Match up is more fair you can see it with stats
People Just don't Play it because of the terrible gameplay pattern and because everyone knows it will be banned. Energy is the next best Thing + it is really fun We might See a jegantha Ban finally because of it.
You could use recruiter of the guard instead of the rangers, to tutor ANY CREATURE in the deck, solitude, greif, maybe use 1 boggart trawler and 1 Witch Enchanter to tutor for land when needed. And maybe phyrexian tower gor more explisve turn, flip ajani at instant speed
This is THE reason the ring is my least favorite card in modern. I live for the day I don’t have to get time walked 4 times in a row and win anyways lmao
I thought the strength of titanshift was always that it was very fast and consistent at doing it's thing. Diluting that with powerful but unrelated cards so you can play a slightly better mediocre midrange game seems sus

It's wild to me people calling cheating in G2. Yes, he could have stream sniped. But, if my OP is a Jeskai list and leads Foundry into Mystic Gate I'm 100% calling out Flooded in the dark. It forces him to have the Wrath or counter it in fear.
Phlage only looks better than Uro because all we’ve had is Kroxa for so long. A deck built around Uro > a deck built around Phlage. Maybe, in a vacuum, Phlage and Uro look on par, especially if you squint REALLY hard, that’s about it.
There is a whole set and archetype built around Phlage. For some reason I like to disagree. Maybe in legacy but not in modern. I don't think any deck with uro right now is going to beat boros energy or jeskai control tbh.
Because its the best thing you can do. Galvanic is better than bolt and synergizes really nicely with wrath for control decks. For boros it enables really strong starts and provides value for aggro decks which is skmething they typically lack
Nightmare is the only card that has me super excited about Jet Medallion. In general medallions add so much variance to your mana that it's hard to make heavy use of them when you do have them without having an overly clunky deck while they're out of play. Being able to sink so much mana into a single card goes a long way toward mitigating that problem.
I love all your mono black videos! I noticed you said the other day that you just havent found your stride in modern lately. Well i think its because youve been playing too many decks without black as their main color! I think you need to stick to orzhov, dimir, rakdos and golgari !! Hahaha also i have been wondering have you tried the necro frog combo?
Thank you for explaining the mana cost of each spell in your deck with jet medallion. Very informative If possible can we also do a two jet medallion debrief, I’m stumped.
Not a bad idea, but that would require a fourth piece like apprentice to actually go anywhere. The deck already has alternate combo routes like Bowmasters + Nightmare + Medallion + Soultrader while having higher card quality
