Emma Hayes must work on the USWNT's first touch if she wants them to play possession style football. The first half had some bad passing and receiving, but the second half was better, especially the subs' performance.
Swanson's good at going direct, but she's not suited to the possession style because her first touch is horrible. I think she lost four balls while trying to receive them in the first half. The ball just bounced from her foot to the opponent.
Engaging in this dialogue is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally fulfilling, reaffirming my belief in the strength and resilience of women everywhere.💋
This kind of style of football does not suit Rodman. Coffey and Fox belong on the bench. We are limited so Fox will do for now. Lavelle and Shaw would be great on that right side with Shaw as a winger or vice versa and move Macario to the left wing. Macario just needs minutes to get bk into form with this team. Just need that midfielder that will go alongside Horan. So glad to see a different goalie in net.

I could listen to Emma talk about the game and coaching all day, no pre-prepared soundbites, no media trained fluff, just straight to the heart of the matter.
Hello USA. I have been commenting almost all year that she would not be what you are used to. Like any good parent, which she seems to be, she understands that distraction will keep focus of the impatient questioner and stop any unwanted details getting into the wrong hands, allowing her to get on with the job unhindered.
