Aren't the stats on 5 mage infinitely better ? You can play the Thomas Kench and a Xerath, you can play Blitz and Nunu early as cheap solid tanky, even splash in Taric for bastion+portal while you're looking for your Nora... and never EVER play soraka or seraphine shitters, and it's not even emblem dependant - an emblem just lets you play 5 mage even before finding that mystical Nora
Pretty sure the portal Emblem goes on Nami, not on tahm nor vex, a norra 1 might be no diff with 3 mage, but a 3 mage Nami is just a beast, she stuns a lot more than TK, and if you have MR shred, norra is considerably better with mage.
@@otakranio1417 not sure if I fully agree but I can definitely see it; the lack of frontline feels really bad imo and having anymore frontline generally feels so much more impactful
@@kai.watanabe Honestly I'm speaking partly from experience and partly from looking at the stats, I also used to think that if I used nami the Frontline would be too lacking, but after testing it, the big portal shield + the krugs and the items on taric end up being enough frontline and the value of nami's stun and damage, coupled with extra damage on norra and extra tankiness on galio tends to be better on 8 if you find the norra, and level 9 it's Nami + Diana regardless.
I feel like flexible is way more broken than it might seen. I've seen multiple people not playing it properly even in masters+ and still top 4ing. I personally have picked it 7 times and went 1st every single time, this has never happened to me with any other augment, this shit is beyond broken
Ngl as a returning player this set it’s so not beginner friendly cause Jesus I’m I always so confused on what to do (last played set10) like I’m not losing a lot but I feel like I’m just getting lucky and not really learning
yeah its pretty hard to play but I'm having fun with it. I've never rerolled this much in my life haha. Now I'm mostly on Hwei and Veigar or even Jinx with honeybees
10:09 I'm pretty sure this Zoe unit is super fake. I havent had much time on the patch but the game of Ahri rr I played I just rolled for my 1 costs but still item held ahri and it was still win streaking into stage 5 WITH AHRI 2. Like her damage output is insane with the right positioning and I just don't see the need to prioritize zoe items at all
This definitely feels like one of the most balanced sets of TFT nothing is completely useless and things deemed useless can be overpowered under incredibly specific conditions too.
Idk what game you’re playing, but this set is the most imbalanced ever. My entire discord haven’t played since it’s launch after all the pbe craziness didn’t get fixed
Soju is such a beast playing. I'm emerald IV now on BR server and just by watching this and seing him going from 1 Veigar to 9, plus Vex, in a matter of 7 rounds and still mantaining his economy is just mindblowing. Watching these kind of vods just make me realize how much I have to improve in economy terms.
Ahri comp without Arcana doesn't seem right. And you don't really play High Horsepower with that comp. Also, it is not that brain-dead it needs good positioning otherwise, it is not that good

Veigar reroll is my go to comp this patch. Usually uncontested and can get a top 4 or higher despite weak early game. Can force with 5 mage. Typically can roll for another 3 cost frontline, like wukong or morde. Level for arcana xerath. Buy every charm early unless it grieves econ to keep the line open.
to get an idea of how strong having 2 support items is ill tell u this, if ur playing fortune favors the bold (the cashout gold augment) and u lose streak to around 9 or 10. U cash out 2 support items + gold. IMAGINE THAT ACCORDING TO RIOT, the value of 2 support items is 9 losses (around 60 hp)
if u guys arent convinced that hes actually not good, he ended stream at 2.7 avg after a 14 hour stream. people forget that this guy used to go rank 1 every set except for set 8 onwards
Have you seen next patch preview yet? Im betting next patch is going to have warriors,blasters and zoe reroll as its best comps. We might also see low cost faerie/mage reroll,especially with high horsepower.
I started in 3.5 and tbh, set 3.5, 4 and both 6 and 6.5 had that midgame agency feeling (atleast imo) which we feel in this set, which is great! My friend and duo buddy also is enjoying it a lot so that means we can try for master+ on double and maybe I can try to pass my gm peak, which I hit in 7.5
The zoe comp feels like it sucks ass unless you have very specific BIS items tbh. With blue buff, nashor, shojin and 4 scholar zoe just needs to auto once to cast. With those items you can do well even without spellblades because her cast reduces mr by 20 at 3 stars, a bit like set 9 samira reroll. The first auto after casting conss out very fast but the second a cast takes more than 1 that's a huge dps loss so unless you get dropped a bunch of tears early this comp kinda sucks. (Not saying it isn't way better with spellbinders but she's also super item reliant if you want her to be able to perma cast)
