Fun fact: that constant chain? beat you can hear in the background throughout the song isn’t actually from this song, but from the opening song of nightmare time 2 episode 2 part 2 (long name I know), abstinence camp, otherwise known as axe-man, where it is used to resemble the titular character, the axe man’s footsteps. Though, since this is slowed, I believe that the version of that beat they use in literal monster is sped up.
stumbled across this on my feed out of nowhere, & i havent been able to stop playing this on loop! now the actual song sounds sped up, this just feels normal i actually love this much more than the normal song, and the melody at the end sounds just perfect with this pitch! good job bud :] 💜
This actually works so well! I would have loved to get a reprise of this after either of the kills, especially if they transposed it into a minor key or with more added harmonies to create some dissonance.
I love how funky the keyboard and whatever that percussion sound is (Maybe keys getting smacked against a surface?) are. Also, Will Branner has such a fantastic bass when slowed.
This actually sounds pretty good! The original song is one of my favorites from NPMD, and I recently saw some of those “songs pitched up/sped up” videos. This is just as good.
One of my favorite details of this song is how Tom says "where we're now a family" and Becky says "where it's only you and me." It shows that, yes, we wanna root for them, but they aren't right for each other. They long for two different endings, and the most tragic thing is that neither of them got either.
