Just did it, was actually quick, bugged out in the corner as in the video. It does feel like cheating having them on my team, so Zoe and her pet are just powering my base now, probably good at dealing with pesky intruders.
Some other tips for this: 1) Must have guards IN the arena. Recommend getting them as close to the syndicate tower door as possible before entering the arena; reduces chances of guard not following to arena. 2) Best method for getting the guard to follow is by hitting them once you fast travel to the arena. I start on the ground fast travel point; not on the tower. Let them follow you to the door and THEN enter. 3) When guard is in the arena, don't hit him because he might despawn. Also, make sure you immediately get guard's aggro by running close to him the moment you spawn in. 4) What reliably triggers the glitch is when the guard inadvertently shoots the pal, while aiming for you. Try to position the pal between yourself and the guard. Think of trying to get the record disks in minecraft when the skeleton shoots the creeper. 5) If the guard disappears and wanted goes away, immediately respawn; it wont work. 6) If the guard doesn't immediately appear in the arena, give it maybe 15-30 seconds before respawning. 7) If the pal starts attacking the guard, respawn. The glitch wont work. If I find anything else interesting, I'll edit this comment.

A momentous moment in human history, everything about this video was perfect, the webcam in the upper right corner, the strummation of the persons vocal chords, as he perfectly, striked the the left mouse button with such elegance, the numbers going up, simply amazing, my favorite part was: 0:06, a very pristine moment of this video if I do say so myself. Other than that, the gray screen, accompanied by the black text of the numbers, truly helped captured the moment of clicking the left mouse button from the number one, to the tenth number, this speedrun is, if I do say so myself, is one of the most tremendous, and amazing moments in human history, truly great, everything was perfect, 5 stars, bravo sir, you done it.
Another note the background of the wall of the persons camera, was also quite intricate, the paint, and the items on display for our glorious eyes to see, was just perfect, everything about it, those g fuel canisters really show that you really are a top notch gamer, alongside those amazing posters, same goes with your beautiful hood, the blue was quite amazing, quite pristine if I do say so myself. That mic stand, who could forget this? Those two bolts shine brighter than a flashlight, shiny, amazing, and perfect, the shape of the bolts are really amazing.
