The Dvergr crates most probably contains flamingos. You can brake them without angry the Dvegrs by using a cart or brake their ward statue again with a cart.
I know this is old but for others, you will do more damage to the ore if you stand on top of it. Hopefully you figured that out somewhere down the line!
Blondie, that was a superb episode! A deathless run through the Ashlands is a big win every day of the week! 😂😂 Some truly epic battles fought and won! Quick tip on building platforms to Flametal spires, start with a large floor piece of grouston then build the ashwood floor extending from that original floor piece 👍👍
Gah, dropped blueberries and held onto pukeberries and a trophy. Those items are dropped by people that walk up to you so often they make cliff racers look like amatures. Blueberries you have to hunt down. Also, at the start of this I saw you get finewood. While I admire your tenacity with the junk bow, time to upgrade.
It is taking me a while to watch these but i do enjoy them. I have got to say this is the most rustic/cabin in the woods base I have seen anyone have on this game? I dont recall you getting a "forest id moving" raid but if you have and the based survived undamaged I am impressed.
@Blondefire_HeyBlondie I was only really watching your video to see what people think a starting guide is, I very very rarely have ever watched a "how to" video because I like to make my own mistakes. Need to watch the rest of it now. Spent a bit of time combining things last night. It certainly is full of stuff, I only just found the Heart of Oasis last night and I didn't even know it existed! All I wanted to do was carve up some Tushkano's on my way from Container Warehouse to UNISG base. Got lost in the tumnels and next thing...Heart!
That is some proper fishing, with a twist of Morgen! Glad you figured out the resource. "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so the sea shall give up its dead!" Comfort level: The Dragon Bed adds +2, the other beds only +1. Tip: You can retire Jotun Bane.
Heh, that was a nice unlock too. I didn’t realise that about the dragon bed, cheers 🍻 Hmm, I don’t think I can. It’s a nice get out of jail free if the bench wood is ever incinerated, and I need more ashwood regardless.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie Dang, I should have just said outright that J.B. was obsolete and could be replaced. Oh well, it is worth waiting for their debut - I do so love the Baes ("Baeserkirs"),
The RNG on that sinking is such garbage. Imagine if each time it happened on the first few hits, each was an entire spire just wasted. Gone. I know there are people who enjoy gameplay that amounts to being repeatedly kicked in the daddybags, but to me it's just frustrating and unsatisfying--and disrespectful of my time as a player. And no, they don't come back. Ever. Same for the leviathans--except with them, it doesn't matter because there's a ton of them all over the world, and they drop a nonessential material of which you need very little. The same mechanic does not translate well when copy-pasted to a core progression resource that is required in large amounts and exists in limited, finite quantities in only one biome.
I’m trying to imagine if you could be unlucky enough to have it sink within a few hits for every single spire you find. Progression would grind to a standstill in that situation. I’d rage-quit, 100%.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie It starts over every time you reset through the portal, so each time you went out to that spire to try again, it's essentially as if you went to a new one. So yeah--that could've easily happened. Madness.
Yes, they look a bit plump and need some exercise. I’d mostly feed them for the feathers, but with eitr in the rotation and a regular supply of vultures, I’m not short anymore.
I'm serious...I got paranoid after a rather nasty raid from some fulings with berserkers. So I built a double ring of dverger spikes around my base. I was just thinking If I could place them on top of a wall for when they do their whole breakdancing turtle spinny thing. Maybe the knockback will stop them from damaging the walls.
one of my favorite games of all time but sometimes it does indeed feel like it is working against you. "You have to laugh otherwise you'll cry" truer words have never been spoken
Tip: The lava lantern adds +1 to your comfort level. The throne room looks like something from Conan the Barbarian :). Morning routine: I prefer getting up early so there is no need to rush things before going to work.
You’ll be pleased with the next ep then 😉 That’s the idea, get some hardcore warrior vibes going. That might be the direction of the base beautification miniseries. I’m warming to the early starts. It feels good to get a bunch of work done before the 9-5.
Next time you get the falling animation, try taking off the feather cape and see if it helps… since it looks like your feather fall animation, I wonder if it’s somehow related to the cape…
Hmm, it’s possible. Weird that it never triggered with the first 2 spires. It seems to trigger in very specific locations, and I’m convinced that it has something to do with the clipping of the individual nodes and supporting rock.
Agreed, that seems to be what they’re pushing for. 10 health down is a 1% dmg increase, so that’d stack pretty nicely. Would it be enough to make a practical difference though?
For hard hitting mobs, I would say yes, almost certainly. But thinking more on it, it would seem like a very situational type of weapon. For an all round damage type maybe an elemental damage would be better.
- I am curious to learn what you think of the Staff of Frost and also the Trollstav, if you decide to trial the former and/or make and trial the latter. - Not sure how it would look; but it might be nice to place some light source behind or beside the bone stacks/throne, perhaps a lava lamp or two. - Also thinking it would be good timing if you collect that missing resource soonish (the one I referred to in a previous comment). My hint is at the ready, sir!
Huh, I’ve been neglecting the frost staff haven’t I. Let’s trial it in ep 113. As for the Trollstav, I’ll craft it if I have the resources and give it a shot. Hopefully it’s more potent than the name suggests. Ahh, yes. I have a couple of ideas. I’ll try them first and shout out if I’m stuck (or you shout out if it looks like I forgot about it again 😋).
That weird glitch where you kept getting stuck while mining is the "stuck falling animation" bug I mentioned. It's really bad if it happens during sinking. They've been unable to find the cause so far, which is why the sinking mechanic is currently disabled in the test branch.
I've never seen the leviathans one overlapping another .. they are a fairly rare spawn. I guess now you know where the AL sinking pillar mechanic comes from!!!! however these never sink on the first wack. The leviathans are bronze/iron age tier content you passed up ages ago but the harpoon is good tool. I wonder what one does with a harpoon!? 🙃
