As someone who went from public school teacher to international transaction attorney, this is one of the most pathetic lists I've ever stumbled upon. All of the jobs enumerated (other than programming engineer, which seems less of a transition than a good starting point given the schooling required) are dead ends and often the first to be cut in layoffs. Seriously, you might as well tack on real estate agent (though, you sort of did).
I had been searching for a new job. I feel frustrated because the recluter asked 3 questions and according to your answers, you were rejected or continued to the next step. How can you reject a person just for two questions? They arent interested to know you better. Just their questions and that is enough.

Employers are only looking for tokens now days that they can use to check a box. It is not based upon any other factors other than being a rare minority, female, native, dark skinned, sexual orientation, etc.
How do you recommend discussing salary with an employer that states the fixed wage for the role up front - as if there is no negotiation possible with this employer?
