love my S-Pace 6.0! It has instant acceleration, it's fast, and makes water starts easy. My other sails are just sitting jealously in the car, I’m not using them anymore
Thanks for the video, IMO you could have mentioned the sticks adjustment with the little key which comes in the bag. I had to adjust all the sticks of my 4m and my 4.5m.
Great invention. Unfortunately the latest carbon Power.XT 2.0 SLS RDM has a top that makes it impossible to fit in other brand masts like Neil Pryde (contrary to the aluminum one, that does not have that regrettable feature…).
Please, why not a 79 Grip 3 in DLAB, I have the Grip 3 79SLS with the Duotone Super Hero SLS, it"s fantastic but it would amazing if a Grip 3 79 DLAB would be manufactured too !
I just had thé information by your dealer in south France that there will be no Grip 3 79 liters in DLAB for the next season. So disapointed that I could not use it with my 3 super hero SLS 2024.
So happy we could enjoy this great combo in Bonaire this week... The combo is flying nicely in control and achieved some great speeds already ;) Even beaten some of the slalom guys in our travel group 🚀
I sail a Jag 106, year #2 version, and it is almost ideal. Yes, I am hunting for a quiver of fins as the stock fin is too "lifty" in super choppy seas. Perhaps a less upright fin is needed.
I love how easy it is to go upwind with a foil windsurfer! Like he says, you can go anywhere you want to. I've noticed that when you turn the board upwind, the front of the board tends to rise and you have to be careful not to breach the foil. It's best to turn upwind gradually. Conversely, when you turn downwind, the front of the board tends to go down. You have to be careful not to nosedive, and like turning upwind, it's better to turn downwind gradually.
Exactly correct! As you carve the foil, it creates more lift and so a harder carve with more pressure creates the greatest lift and makes the board rise faster, versus the softer approach applies less pressure and less lift
@@duotone.windsurfing Yes! Another tip I learned from a clinic with Andy Brandt, the famous US clinician and DuoTone sponsored rider, is when sailing on a broad reach downwind, move your back hand forward on the boom. That tip really helped me a lot with downwind control. Before that I had my back hand pretty far back, and I was tending to oversheet while going downwind. Having my back hand forward also makes it easier to spill a little air out of the sail if a sudden gust hits.
We find the NOW and the SUPER_HERO are more suited for smaller riders with the lower, more central draft position. The NOW especially is designed for smaller riders!
@@worthingwatersports I meant if the name of Fanatic gets free, they (Fanatic) can make boards independently. Of course they (BoardsandMore) can just dump the name and let it die completely, but I doubt that.
The Mamba has had a makeover for 2024 - now called the Grip 3 and comes in an SLS construction for now which is similar to the previous TE construction from Fanatic. We are looking into new constructions though to make it lighter and stronger - watch this space!
I got a 7.3 this year, and I'm very impressed how much wind it can take without getting back handed og overpowered. It just continues to be fast and powerful way into the range of my 5.7 wave sail - and planing power is excellent. It's always a bit tricky with cams at the beginning, but the pay back in power, range and speed is all worth it. All the best - Per, Denmark
Good stuff! Happy to hear you are enjoying it! Is it the getting the cams on you are struggling with? Check out our clip: HOW TO Rig a Cam Sail - this might help!
Although my ‚North’ Platinum masts (2015?) work nicely with my E_Paces, I have camber rotation problems with my S_Paces from 21, although I screwed all 3 cambers all the way in. The trimm/downhaul/boom etc. are adjusted correcty… Do I really need to buy newer masts?
