I am trying to replace my slowspeed handpiece. Have unlocked it removed previous hand piece but when trying to put on new hand piece it acts as if something is stopping it from locking in place what have I done wrong?
Please break the video up for just changing the scaler line not the whole module box. Or make a separate video. Takes me about an hour and I’ve done this many times. I hate this machine the scaler line is delicate and breaks all the time I’d expect something that cost $300 to last longer. I made the line super short the last few times and that helps with rolling over it or stepping on.
Be prepared to bring a lot more tools and time to this project. I needed a side cutting Sawzall to get the old scaler knob off my machine! Entire thing took me about 6 hours - and I am a handy person…
Question, can you replace the 5 hole tubing with a 4 hole tubing like in your case? Let's say we don't want to use the fiberoptic anymore, can we buy the 4 hole tubing non-optic and replace the existing 5 hole tubing?
Hi my name is Steve. I run Dedicated Dental Services. You can absolutely use a standard DCI 4-hole handpiece tubing in place of any fiber optic. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding this. Essentially you would just hook up the new 4 hole tubing in the same way as the old fiber optic/power optic tubing. I hope that helps! The only thing you may have to do is cap off the air signal to the fiber-optic relay
