About Michael I had the privilege of growing up on a farm. This gave me the opportunity to explore and discover how much I love to work with cars. This was from the early age of eight years old! My initial training was a panelbeater and after my apprenticeship I worked as a maintenance fitter in the outback of Western Australia in Gold and nickel mines. I carried on my career in various guises as a welder from TIG, MIG and OXY to programming robots to weld hardface. That includes solid wire and flux core wire. I also worked at Ford manufacturing in Geelong, Australia and spent many years as a toolmaker. I now have the opportunity to work on what I really love - that is detailed restoration on cars. The last few years I have fully renovated houses from restumping to total kitchen bathroom fitouts. These are the things I really love and now I am doing them full time. I am living the dream! It takes more than… just a few dollars!
Loving it mate, I have a Miami blue Beetle myself, started off as Aussie market Flipper blue but when a previous owner had it freshened up they ordered Miami by mistake but the owner loved it.
Skip your running later lights on an earlier car, that is why there are not enough wires or connection points, as your car would not of originally come with reverse lights, so simple to make up the extra wire where needed ! Happy Days
I opened the box and the ticket said 1967 lights so that makes them earlier but a reversing is only one extra wire. Which I put in so why didn’t they have an earth prong? Any ways I fixed it . I’ll try and test the electrics tomorrow
@@justafewdollars6726 Different countries had reverse lights earlier than in the uk, and your year car and model loom was not fitted with reverse lights a simple fix
@aaronhines3317 those noises I'm very shocked Herbie should be quite anyway pants were washed immediately trouble is its raining outside and they are my only pair. haha
@SimonMay-oc2lk as you see in episode we drove one car home from Scotland and the other from Peterlee. but you must buy a (runs and drive) car .some cars r damaged so you have to do your research
@SandraMcRitchie-wh8vc flash is an expression thats its like almost like touch dry so then you can apply the next coat without having runs in the paint
@SandraMcRitchie 4-5 weeks in one spot. it was a tricky area so i left it on . now it doesn't want to come off. masking tape comes off normally the next day. its there so we don't over spray but we don't want it to cure with the paint too much.
Minties are scary. I knew a nurse who was losing his teeth because he ate loads and loads of them. "going to the dentist tomorrow" while chopping another one.
@@SandraMcRitchie-wh8vc also you can't buy minties here main stream. the word minties is actually from mint just an extended version. Cath and myself we actually don't eat lollies or chocolate
