I’m 39yr old and I’m booked in for the robotic knee replacement surgery in 9-12 months , I will be my surgeons youngest patient … my knee has been like this since 14yr old and I’ve already had an osteotomy , full acl reconstruction and meniscus pads trimmed , I’ve got end stage osteoarthritis at 39 and it’s awful

We owe work on our knees like everyone else does. No more or less. I think there's a Deep throat lozenges or wetter for it our there. Not this knee. No. We don't owe fatter Bodies and weaker knees.
What do you mean with seriousness? Just the end of the collarbone is removed, sling for only 1 day after surgery, I was back in the gym 3 days later, training back, legs and the other side of the chest/shoulder while doing the rehab exercises on the side I had the surgery. Range of motion was back during the first week and I was allowed to do all exercises based on my pain level. I was completely back to training after some weeks. I had the surgery in May 2021 and I already surpassed all of my strenght levels. During the entire time, I had no muscle loss on the operated side. It is an really easy procedure, took my surgeron maybe ~20 minutes. I will do the other side next month and I am really looking forward to it. Medical texts and studies also describes the surgery as easy going with zero complications. No muscles or bands are being cut during the surgery, so there is nothing that needs to heal or grow back together.
Good afternoon, Dr.Adam Wright ,I hope this message finds you well. I came across your RU-vid channel while researching hip prosthetics, and I must commend you on the informative content. Congratulations on running such an excellent channel. My name is Israilton Silva, My father, who is 86 years old, underwent hip replacement surgery here in Brazil in 2023. Unfortunately, he had to undergo another surgery six months later to remove the hip prosthesis due to osteomyelitis. He is currently undergoing treatment, which may take over a year. After the treatment, he has decided against having the hip prosthesis reinserted, considering his age despite being strong and healthy. My question is, will he be able to walk without the hip prosthesis? I appreciate your attention to this matter.Thank you.
Had this surgery done and wish I hadn’t. My shoulder is in pain. It’s been over a year since this surgery. Finally found a surgeon that sent me for a ct arthrogram. They are thinking something going on with bicep or slap tear. The surgeon that did the distal clavicle excision didn’t look into the rest of the surgery. Hopefully will get results from ct arthrogram soon
From Dr. Wright - Yes it can! Core decompression can help stimulate blood flow to the involved area of the hip which can promote healing. This is more likely to work if there are reversible causes of AVN and if the area of the hip involved is smaller. The recovery from a core decompression is longer than a hip replacement in some ways, so in certain patients it is possibly a better decision to just replace a hip even with early AVN
I am 74. 6ft 4 inches tall and 180 lbs. In good shape except for a right hip bone on bone. I was all set to get a hip replacement last January - anterior approach. Settled on an experienced local surgeon but on the way out of the appointment he said I should think about selling my Miata to help avoid a possible hip dislocation down the road. I canceled going ahead with the surgery and walked out. Yes, the car sits very low and I am a very tight fit, but I have loved 2 seaters since I was 16. In your practice would that also be your recommendation? As much as I would love to have less daily hip pain, I just do not want to give up my roadster!
Was just diagnosed, sustained around 18 months ago. Does the bone remineralize in mild cases with conservative treatment and a high calcium diet? Or is the lost permanent, whatever extent it’s gotten to

I am 72 years old and have my right hip replaced twice and now it is due again for the third time . Each hip has lasted over 20 years so this should be my last . I am a patient at Wrightington Hospital , UK where the first hip replacement was first invented .
