If the alien ship was a ship for dropping eggs on planets as weapons, why the warning beacon?!? Scott literally forgot what the original movie not only was about, but what it contained, in order to pursue his new retarded hobby of Chariots of the Gods (and of making retarded characters, but then again, well, he never created the characters in the original movie, did he? He was just the visual director, not the author of the script).
Anyone who thinks the original is not the bes6t is objectively wrong. Sure, Aliens is good (none of the others are, fun or not), but it's a fun action flick, shallow and silly, none of the depth and horror of the original. Very much Jaime Camarão, far more action and visuals than substance, like all his movies, except for Terminator.
@@alexandresobreiramartins9461 I’ve actually run into people who will argue (adamantly) than Alien 3 is the best one and having finally watched the whole thing, I just don’t see it. I can respect Aliens for what it did (and for its phenomenal effects), but I’ll never enjoy it more than the og.
I watched both series. The new version was hard work. The lead role was played very badly, and i lost interest very quickly. I know the story, so i stayed with it. I wouldnt watch it again, but i have just started watching the 80s version again.
@@GeorgeRenda Megalon Blu Ray is at 14:18. I included it at Showa DVDs for the reasons I specified within the video… As for King Kong escapes unfortunately no, but my priority is Godzilla over other Toho films. Still wouldn’t mind getting my hands on it at some point though.
I've only seen the American version and never read the novel, but I have to say that, despite the bright lighting, Samara coming out of the TV is HARD CORE fucking scary. Really, haunts my nightmares. And I was a fully grown adult who loves horror movies when I saw it. Good video, though. Like the analysis.
@@ursyoola i have to admit it’s masterful on a technical level. I don’t agree with many of the lore changes made, but its still a very well made film. Thanks for commenting :)
Not long after my birthday lol, Unfortunately the Steelbooks are still sold out, I’m holding hope I can get my hands on a copy, I was lucky enough to get one of New Empire (still haven’t even watched it lmao) before they disappeared.
You might be the only person who hates this show lol. Not even the anti sjw geeks and gamers weirdo crowd hates this show as much as you . I’ve never seen someone spew such nonsense about a show for an hour lol.
I really found blackthorne to be the main character all the way though, and we are following toronaga as he is the main political conflict in the story not because he is the main character that the audience relates with. Also never got the impression blacthorne is unintellegent, more that he is just a fish out of water in japan and he comes of that way because of his loud gregarious western attitude. Not because he is inherently unintellegent more just a different way of being. But in the end i have not watched the original or read the book. But personally fking loved this series 9/10 and think maybe you should just be happy this amazing story got shared with so many newcomers like me
I am 64. Read book twice have seen series maybe four times. Or more over past 40 years. Rich. Still licked up in things last night as I finished it again. Story is totally epic. A must for westerners. Toyota cars. Honda motorcycles. Nikon cameras. Read book. Watch flick. Get curious about an amazing people . One of best books in my life. Have read many
I rate this 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/1000000000 and more
During a time frame transpiring over decades where only old comic book characters are made into films or series, shows as Lonesome Dove, Rich man Poor Man, and Shogun stand heads and shoulders above all of this adolescent garbage. Now that every super hero has to be a black lesbian woke warrior with a chip on her shoulder against everyrthing male, I don't watch much of anything anymore.
I began my life changing journey through Asian culture with the tv series Kung Fu. Master Po simply captured my heart and my imagination in a profound way. I didnt realize how thirsty i was for philosophy. Next was a one year duty assignment to Korea and immersion into asian day to day life. Upon return to America I read Shogun, my favorite book of all time (and also my fathers, who was exceptionally well read). So by this time i had been influenced by China, Korea, and then Japan. I feel my life has been truly enriched through these experiences. The Shogun miniseries came next and made me laugh, cry, and comforted me in my homesickness for Asia. The world has so much to offer that is well worth seeking out. My life has been rewarded by my journey. I wish the same discovery for all people. Fulfillment is what life is all about.
I liked the original series because of Toshiro Mifune, the best Japanese actor ever. But Richard Chamberlain was totally miss cast, to much of a pritty-boy. I believe the producers wanted Richard Harris but Chamberlain insisted on the part.
You've got the wrong Destroy All Monsters Blu ray. You need the 2011 Tokyo Shock edition with commentary, image gallery and original trailers that were removed from your later release due to copyright issues.
yikes i think you might be a little to attached to the original source material to be objective with this series. show was great but thats coming from someone who didnt shape his life around the book. acting great production great writing great. greatest thing to come out of FX or Hulu.
Hmm, so they will have more seasons. Was this the original plan or an addition because the first season was a hit? If the latter, I can understand that they want to milk this more because it is showBUSINESS. However, if it was the original plan, then I wish they had been more faithful to the novel and added more scenes not shown in the original version so we actually see the entire novel unfold in 3 season.
I have no issues if the characters inspired by real historical figures have the so-called diluted characterization or was not like the original since the novel is a historical fiction and not a historical biography. That is why the names are also fictional and there will be historical inaccuracies.
I watched the new series, though it has it own merits, I will always prefer the original series given that it was more faithful to the novel and the cast was better overall than the cast of the new series, even though the new Fujiko, Ishido, and Yabu were a better but their original versions did not pale in comparision.
Pinned comment covers this already. Local slang apparently, I have refrained from using informal language in later videos. If you’re concerned about my education I am happy to inform you that have formal training with studies in Film Arts and Literature Thanks for watching :)
